I had my first visit with Dr. Gannon today, and I would give her and her staff an A+. I was totally pleased when I left their office, and I rarely say that about any of the other businesses in Wetumpka.

My first visit with Dr. Gannon was fantastic. She is so easy to talk to, she was very straightforward and understanding. My Wife actually had her own appointment here months ago and after trying to find an Optometrist closer to home, we have opted to become regular patients here. It's certainly well worth the 30 minute drive for us to come to Vision Center South. The admission Staff, the Eye Care Assistants and of course Dr. Gannon were so very professional, courteous and kind. We're very happy to be here for our eyecare needs.

Do NOT buy your glasses here! Their prices are are extremely HIGH especially considering the unprofessional service and extended amount of time you have to wait to get them. I waited a month and asked for a refund after over two weeks of waiting. They had "lost my order in their system". They refused my refund due to "Corporate Policy". They also scheduled my original appointment at the wrong location. Administrative staff is appearantly incompetent. The customer is nothing to this company! While the actual exam was pleasant and thorough, I'll be taking my business and everyone I know, speak to, or otherwise contact to other establishments. I recommend a big NO for this business.

They like to rob people. No insurance, went in, paid for everything in full out of pocket, still got a bill for 75 dollars after spending over$400

My experience from the start was wonderful. The ladies are all nice. Everyone was very nice, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back when I need more glasses or to have an eye exam. Highly recommend this place.

This has been the worst experience ever. They where not able to provide prescriptions in my classes and I paid for them up front. They still have not refunded my money and it has been over 3 months. They keep giving excuses as to its not in their hands to provide the refund but it's billing and they have not control. But you have control over charing someones card but not taking ownership or refunding their money. They never call back and still have not provided good customer service. DO NOT GO HERE... Go somewhere where people actually care and they have good customer service.

If I could rate this place a zero on ethics, morals and standards I would- both Cee Cee and Amber are doing their jobs, so these ladies are not to blame here. I blame their Regional Manager, Eric Bickhardt. If I misspelled anyone's name, please excuse me. To sum this review up, I came in for an eye exam on 12-9-24 through VA Optum/Community Care . I'm a retired Army veteran. I was told that I had to pay for my Rx even after asking why VA would send me out to the community to have me pay. Make it make sense, but I paid $408.52 for a Rx and frames to later find out that VA would've covered. Fast forward- I ask only for a small fraction of what I paid to be refunded to me-$160.52 to be exact, but was tossed around for sixteen minutes with word games from Mr Bickhardt. I told him it's less about the money, but more about the service I received. I paid for a lesson y'all, but you don't have to. This only applies to whom it applies to. And he actually had the audacity to say to me before hanging up that he hopes I return. I politely told him "You Won't"! God bless

The exam was fine, but overall this place is terrible. My husband and I both waited forever on our glasses to arrive so they could be picked up which we paid an arm and a leg for. I then decided that I wanted to order contacts as well. I called to see if they could use my same prescription for contacts. I had to pay for a "contact fitting" exam, where she literally handed me contacts, I put them in, and that's it. No eye exam to see "how they fit" so it was laughable to say the least. I was then told I had to order them through their website.. which of course they picked the highest priced brand there was. Ordered them, waited TWO MONTHS (which I consistently called and asked), was transferred multiple times to someone who never answered, left voicemails and never received a call back, then I finally sent an email which was responded to -- "The contacts weren't approved in the system so I needed to go back and reorder them & she will approve them right away". Excuse me.. what?? Every staff member just needs to be fired because this place is a joke.
