Eberle Eyecare

So it's been about just over a month since my first appointment here. I've previously gone to Costco for years, however they don't accept insurance and require you to file for reimbursement on your own now. Also, even though they were nice I never really felt like I was getting a thorough exam. I decided to try out a new optometrist. Well I couldn't have been happier with my experience. Everyone there, from the gentleman that administers the eye tests, to Dr. Eberle, to the super nice lady that helped with my glasses, and the very friendly front desk staff, went above and beyond beyond. After 30 yrs of wearing contacts I'm now wearing the most comfortable and clear brand ever because Dr. Eberle made sure to try out different brands to see what worked best. The same goes for my first new set of glasses in 14yr. It's a really big deal to me to have someone care and not just want to rush you through the process: I've already recommended them to several coworkers, and they have been very happy with their experience as well! Thank you Dr .Eberle and all your staff!

Would never recommend anyone work here ever there's no training and unprofessionalism from the doctor while with patients when someone is screening a patient horrible energy and devastating energy from the doctor. She always wants to heard but never listens or understands her "team" doesn't like to take any advice. It's her way or the highway. The operation isn't the best that it can be for a clinic STAY AWAY. I haven't been back since my first appointment with my family. The old lady fitting us for glasses was I credibly rude and condescending making smart remarks to herself. I ended up complaining to Dr. Eberle and she seemed to smooth things over. But we spend like $800 pop plus whatever my insurance paid. The old lady also overcharged us for stuff and kept pushing transition lenses on us and I kept saying NO. They told us to pick glasses up at a certain time, when we got there they werent even open. We tried to come in and they told us they weren't open, and wouldn't be for awhile and to come back. You can also feel the tension w front desk and the old lady helping us with glasses. She seems like an office bully.

I'd give them a zero if I could. Went in for my 9am appointment only to be told it had been cancelled because I hadn't confirmed. I had been swallowed up by a work issue all week and my wife had Covid so was tending to her when I had free moment. You know, we all have lives and from time to time our lives get very busy. Simply didn't have time to meet their pathological need to know I was going to show up. An appointment is an appointment. I said I would show up and I did on the dot. Won't be going back to Dr. Eberle.

Erin is the best! She is constantly going way above and beyond expectations. Her knowledge and experience about lenses and frames definitely sets the bar high. Dr. Eberly takes her time and explains the examination better than any Dr that I've been to. These guys definitely take great care of you.

Dr. Eberle is technically amazing and very friendly and personable, answering all my questions. The types of eye tests done there seem more comprehensive then other clinics. Might need a better system for billing as the office has double charged me for items a few times over the years with some hoops to jump through reimbursed. Nice selection of quality frames. The office staff have been needlessly short including once over a critical medical issue; hard to get through for any urgent eye issues during business hours.

Dr. Eberle is one of the best Optometrists I've ever worked with. I've worn glasses my whole life and worked with a wide variety of eye clinics and doctors, but none of them measure up to the professionalism, care and knowledge of Dr. Eberle. Her south Anchorage office is conveniently located near O'Malley and Old Seward which makes appointments easy to get to. Her staff is friendly, educated and polite. I've never had an insurance or billing issue, and once you walk in the door their client care processes are smooth and fast. Dr. Eberle is a joy to work with. Her positive attitude, genuine interest in her clients and excellent eye care knowledge make her a rare find in Anchorage optometry. I can't recommend her or her clinic highly enough.

I first visited Eberle Eyecare roughly two years ago. The staff was openly gossiping and trash talking another employee in the main reception area without any hesitation of customers being present. This was very off putting for me. However, I did have a great visit with Dr. Eberle. She spent a lot of time addressing my concerns and I felt like she really cared about me as a patient. I overlooked the lack of professionalism from her staff thinking that it was a just a fluke. I recently visited again. This time Dr. Eberle was running behind. Her staff was much more mature and professional. I felt like my appointment with Dr. Eberle was very rushed and she was not nearly as caring this time. When I left I realized that I forgot to give my secondary insurance info so I called right away and gave the information. I never heard anything back and I've had to continue to follow up. I've heard numerous excuses. I've had to give my insurance information three times now. I've gotten different information (conflicting information in some instances) each time I've called. Today the billing person was short and told me they'd get back to me when they had an answer, but couldn't tell me when that would be. I've left messages for Dr. Eberle to call me to discuss my frustrations, but that has not happened. I feel like I'm getting the run around. I cannot in good conscience recommend Eberle Eyecare to others based on my experiences nor do I feel compelled to be a repeat customer.
