Very thorough exam with Dr Sheryl Lentfer Who was able to pinpoint my issues after suffering for over a year and going to 3 other Dr.s. Staff ver welcoming and professional, beautiful offices/ very clean with the latest equipment. Fabulous selection of frames as well

I had a very positive first visit. Tech support and pre-exam were very helpful. Learned some new things, Dr. Sifferman was engaging and provided solid information. Only 4 stars because I would not fill my perscription there as the frames were very very expensive. Solid medical advice though.

Everyone was very friendly, appt.was on time, most thorough eye exam I've ever had. Dr spent a lot of time with me explaining all manner of eye subjects. I was a bit skeptical when shopping for an optometrist and saw you had nothing but 5 star reviews, but now I have to agree and give you another 5 stars!

I have had vision issues for years. And no one really listened to me before. Constantly I was given options that never helped me see better, or gave me any real solutions. Then I went to Katmai at the suggestion of my mother in law. Sheryl Lentfer and staff treated me with care. They listened to me and when I left that building I knew what was going on with my eyes- Just knowing was a comfort I was sent to the appropriate specialists and for the first time in years felt heard. Thank you Katmai Eye!

First visit went very well. Professional staff and enjoyed talking with Dr. Smooth intake online. Have to submit my own bills to insurance, so will see how that goes. Kind of like checking myself out at the store, but excellent experience overall.

What truly impressed me was their attention to detail and dedication to ensuring my glasses were perfect. A pair of my glasses didn't meet their rigorous quality standard, even though they looked fine to me. To my surprise, the team at Katmai Eye and Vision Center offered to remake them completely from scratch, free of charge. This act of service was even more remarkable because it was well after the warranty period had expired. They didn't have to do this, but they did, and it shows their incredible integrity and passion for their work. This is the kind of business that genuinely cares about its clients and its craft. For anyone in the Anchorage area needing an eye exam or new eyewear, Katmai Eye and Vision Center sets the bar for excellence.

Very customer friendly and thorough. Their eye exam uses several machines to give a complete spectrum of any irregularities. I felt very thoroughly examined.

I had an excellent experience visiting Katmai Eye and Vision Center while on vacation in Anchorage from out of state. I called in the morning and was able to get a same-day appointment that afternoon. Dr. Laura Kompkoff was very kind and professional, took the time to welcome my partner and I into the clinic, and helped me resolve the eye issue I was having. She took the time to listen to and answer all of my questions about my eye issue and follow up care, and I didn't feel at all rushed during the appointment. She also provided me with free samples of the medication I needed for follow up care, eliminating the need for me to get an out-of-state prescription. Overall, it was the best experience I could have hoped for and I am very grateful to Dr. Kompkoff and the Katmai Eye and Vision Center for their excellent care! I would highly recommend this clinic!
