Southcentral Foundation Optometry

Watched the receptionist and another employee be very rude and standoffish to my partner for absolutely no reason. Staff in general seemed dismissive and indifferent until they saw that my partner was filling out a survey. Not the first time I've seen unprofessionalism like this from ANMC and realistically it won't be the last.

I called to order contacts, they said they'd call me back. No response for 2 days. I called twice and it rung and rung until it automatically hung up. I went in person and told the receptionist I was expecting a call for contacts and I hadn't been contacted yet. She rolled her eyes and told me a technician would be out with me soon. The technician then comes into the lobby after me and walks behind me, up around the counter and calls my name. I go up to him to order. He said, "oh it looks like your eyes have the same prescription, so you just need to order one box." I go, "...um...no, they're actually different shapes because my eyes aren't identical..." and he said, "oh yeah! You're right! That's the second time I've read a prescription wrong today." Holy unprofessional.

Dr Kassy Swanson was very thorough and caring. Had a great experience at Southcentral Foundation Optometry. Found some cool frames. Ordered glasses. Will have a follow up visit in a few days. Grabbed some free covid tests.

Only waited two minutes for my appointment, tech and optometrist were both super friendly, professional and efficient. Nice and clean facility. Huge selection of frames. Found a pair on sale for $65 (great deal). If you have VSP the insurance process is wildly easy. Ended up not paying anything out of pocket for my glasses. The optometrist gave me a physical card with detailed prescription info so I can order online if I'd like (literally the only optometrist I've ever gotten this from). 10/10 experience. Edit: my glasses arrived earlier than expected which was also awesome!

HORRIBLE PLACE, NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL, FRONT DESK WILL LIE TO YOU, EVEN THE PEOPLE THAT DO THE FRAMES LIE TO YOU, NO WONDER THEIR RATING IS SO LOW, FIRST HAD EXPERIENCED HOW UNPROFESSIONAL THEY ARE... WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!!!! FRAMES WERE SUPPOSED TO BE MAILED OUT MORE THAN 3 WEEKS AGO, THEY ARE JUST SITTING THERE.. SURE I CAN DRIVE THERE HOWEVER I ASKED FOR THEM TO BE MAIL, LABEL FOR MAILING CREATED 2 WEEKS AFTER THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE MAILED OUT, THEN SAT THERE DOING NOTHING. I HAVE CALLED A NUMBER OF TIMES, LIKE 5 OR MORE.. KEEP GETTING LIED TO!!!

I am a firm believer in keeping our money within our groups as in our native culture. I spent over $200. I did not know I was receiving a discount for a back-to-school program when I was 42 years old when I bought them and then I went to take my glasses back after I was told and purchased a one year warranty to only be told it's not valid. I will not be doing business with them anymore. I am saddened that I was not appreciated for the quality of what I purchased. I will not give my money to Southcentral Foundation optometry anymore, so please be careful when you purchase a pair of glasses that you're not getting ripped off because I did

I personally LOVE one of the eye doctors! She did more than amazing and wonderful, with my toddler! She did much better, than the one we had there last year! I only took a star off, because one of the front desk ladies isn't that good at customer service. She didn't treat us good. She just kept talking to her co-workers, while I was trying to get everything I needed. None of them didn't update me or anything. They just assumed I knew all the steps, I guess. However, there is a man at front desk and he is amazing! He deserves more than 5 stars! I am forever thankful, for the good people at this place! They make me ok with going there in the future.

Terrible service... Super rude. Used to get great service here. Now it's terrible. Went in to order new lenses for a frame I purchased there... And could not get service when they were still open another hour.. I could see if the lobby had people waiting... But they had three techs sitting there with nobody waiting. The girl at the desk lied about closing time.
