I just picked up my new glasses, and they're perfect. The staff are all pleasant and kind, yet professional. I just switched from my long term provider to go to Southside, the service is 100% better, it's not a mill. I appreciate the individual attention they all gave me, and there was no waiting. I'll definitely go back.

Francis has provided me with terrific guidance regarding my glasses for almost 20 years. Every time I have needed new glasses she has helped me select ones I love. And she is a whiz at repairs! I recently sat on and broke my newest pair and this morning she fixed them in ten minutes. I recommend Southside optical with confidence.

I've been coming here for years, and am always greeted warmly and professionally, promptly seen, and get quality care. Frances and Chet in the optical shop greet me by name and always provide great service and good ideas for what will work for my lifestyle (eye frames). When I accidentally bend my frames or get things out of alignment I can stop in and ben seen on the. spot - that is such a valuable service! Michelle in contacts does the same - and has great ideas about which lenses work well for sports, which for desk work and driving, etc. And Dr. Stemmle is top notch - great preventative care and accurate prescriptions. I love that the team here has been in place a long time and enjoy their jobs - makes for a great environment to be a client. I also appreciate the great communication from the schedule, billing and admin staff. Thank you for the great service!

Dr. Stemmle and Dr. Lamigo are the best optometrists in Alaska!! I've never have had a negative experience here. The staff is very friendly, approachable and thorough. Angie in the billing department is top notch! Front desk gals are super sweet and helpful-- they'll always call back. Michelle in the contact lens department is one of the smartest people I've met!! The techs Mike, Julie and Emily are very knowledgeable. Frances and Chet in optical are my go to guys for my glasses needs.

I love going to Southside Eye care & Optical! My son and I have been coming her for our eye care for many years and the atmosphere, equipment and staff are top notch! They have had most of the same staff for many years and they remember us and make us so comfortable! I love my Doctor and always get the best possible care! My eyes are happy!

Very impersonal. They aren't very up front about fees. The wait is long half the time. But if you're late or miss an appt., they'll fine you. Once you're in, you play musical chairs with other patients. The doctor was dismissive with my son. The general feel is though our business and moreover our eye care isn't valued. A couple of the staff seem nice and the billing lady is nice, the only reason I provide them 2 stars. I'll take myself and kiddos elsewhere.

Dr Stemmle and her team are truly the best at what they do. I've been going there for years and they are always warm, friendly, and very professional. I had to go somewhere different last time due to insurance, and I would rather self pay than do that ever again. Highly recommend them.
