My husband and I were on a cruise to Alaska and his eyeglasses broke. We found Alaska Vision Center Optical Department online. Within minutes they were able to take his old lenses and find a new frame!! Thank you for saving our vacation. Grateful from Upstate NY

The best place to get your glasses in Juneau. Has high-quality equipment to check your eye vision and wonderful, nice welcoming employee stuff and boss. They took amazing care of my needs and went the extra mile to assist me in my difficult situation with the glasses I had previously. Alaska Vision Center was great in helping us get our contact lenses. Cori, in particular, was super helpful over the phone--She really understood what we needed and made sure we got the right lenses.

While the office and staff were great completely messed up my request for 2 week prescription contact lenses, instead receiced smaller supply for "monthly" lenses. When called about it i just tmhad the staff repeat thats what the doctor ordered instead of giving me a resolution to the fact i have never once had anything iver than 2 week lenses in my life. im 39 been wearing cintacts since 14. Instead of providing a solution i kept going jn cicrcles about thats the order the doctor gave, obviously not what i requested though and i got tired of going around in circles so i let them know i wont come back and hung up. Now i have no coverage for another preecriptipn until next year which i wanted to use for glasses. thnx people.

This place is amazing! I lost my two weeks worth of contacts and was stuck on a cruise ship. I had my optometrist fax my prescription to their office. The office staff was so kind to give me a pair of contacts to last me for the rest of my trip. Thank you for helping me enjoy scenic Alaska!

I am EXTREMELY UNHAPPY with Alaska Vision Center at this time! I know we are in a pandemic, but their service is atrocious! I called in May for an appointment, because my glasses were broken. The woman at the front desk was very hesitant to give me an appointment and made no offer for the techs to try to fix my glasses. I finally weaseled an appointment out of her for July 7, 2020. The optometrist would not prescribe new lenses until I saw my physician for blood work. I saw my doctor the following week and called the optometrist's office back for my follow-up visit. The woman at the front desk said she would talk to the other optometrist and call me back. It is now three weeks later, and I have yet to get a call back, so . . . I called them. I can now get a follow-up appointment for September 28. MY GLASSES ARE BROKEN AND HAVE BEEN SINCE MAY! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!

If you need contacts or eyeglasses make sure you make your appointment with him at least five months advance. I thought maybe it was just an Alaskan thing but even Costco get you in the same day. I've never heard of an eyeglass place that you had to wait several months to get an eye exam if you're not already patient. Pretty wild but apparently this is just such a place good thing Costco is handling business like always
