Lane Eye-Care Center

Very unorganized I have tried for several years to work with them because I believe in taking care of mom n pops type business, but this ain't it. The Dr is great but his staff has been replaced through the years and still they are no good nor help. They don't know how to use any of their own systems and require you to do all their work. They take Medicaid but please go somewhere else it's not worth the hassle. I took my daughter in 2017 and never got the glasses. Then tried again this year in September and guess what.....still no glasses! Not worth the mess especially when you need glasses to see. So I got the glasses script and ordered some from Pair Eyewear online and only spent about 100 after tax!

While Dr. Lane is fantastic, his staff leaves much to be desired. Their lack of professionalism, and their inability to follow through on basic customer service, speaks volumes. For example, I was told my eye-wear would take a week to recieve. A month later, I'm still waiting and will now buy elsewhere. I've gone here for almost fifteen years, but when specific employees left, so did all the standards. It's a sad state, but I recommend potential clients seek service elsewhere.

My eye care has been at the Eye Center in Little Rock. I had good care there. However, Dr. Lan detected things no one ever saw. He was gentle but candid. He is kind and smart. As a retired pilot, he knows the value of good eyesight. Chris and Tina provided excellent care. Even helped me pick out frames. Zero complaints. This is a very busy office. I did tell Dr. Lane he need to do a refresh on the place. Lol c

I went here to order my glasses. And they were extremely helpful especially since I got my prescription from another eye doctor. But I was so impressed I believe I will probably get my eyes checked by their doctor next year.

I took my children to see Dr. Lane and the care was absolutely ridiculous. It was unprofessional to say the least. I have a nine year old daughter who has complained of persistent headaches, not being able to see in school that caused her to relocate to the first row in the classroom, and complaining of blurry vision. We were told that her vision was perfect and she didn't need a prescription, which was obviously a red flag for me. Then my five year old daughter who has worn glasses since she was 18 months old to correct her nearsightedness and astigmatism, also miraculously no longer needed a prescription although he confirmed she still has astigmatism. Strange right? And my son, who has no complaints, as he's only four, barely had an exam done, did not have his eyes dilated, nothing to ensure his vision is clear and he didn't need correction. The two older children had their eyes dilated without even having been given permission. There was no discussion or communication between myself (the parent) and the staff, including the doctor. I will certainly be seeking and second opinion, but please do NOT take your child to Dr. Lane, especially if you know your child needs corrective vision. I am so disappointed and now it will be even longer before I can help my children see clearly.

I went to lane eye care to pick up my sons glasses that I had been waiting on for over two months the receptionist was rude the glasses still wasn't fixed when I picked them up. She stated that the insurance doesn't cover the repairs when I tried to explain to her they are covered she grabbed the glasses slung them at me and yelled get out as loud as she could I was never rude nor was I loud. Then she started yelling and hollering and calling me out of my name This is supposedly a place of business but I wouldn't recommend any black people to go to this eye lane eye care in Jacksonville

My 4 year old got poked in the eye and was complaining about it for about an hour. I called around and this was the first place that could get her in quickly. I could tell the dr was starting to loose his patience with her when she wouldn't cooperate so he could check her eye. He gave us a small bottle of amoxicillin and sent us on our way. On the up side, it was very reasonably priced considering we're without insurance.

Doctor gave me wrong prescription contacts for my right eye causing me to waste $100 bucks. Office personnel is incompetent. Tried to get contacts ordered for my right eye and they ordered wrong prescription. They reordered only to order the wrong contacts again. Steer clear of this eye doctor. Going down tomorrow to get my money for this last box of contacts or I am turning it over to an attorney.
