I absolutely love the staff at this lenscrafters! I have been a regular customer for years and have had exceptional service from Patty, the store manager, Brian, Jason and now Mark. Jason is quick and thorough, clear and concise, Brian's laugh is contagious and fun and Mark is very patient and makes you feel like you're a VIP. All of them are great at what they do and have helped me with my vision needs and also helped me with strange requests and situations. Today I am especially grateful to Mark because I came in for an issue with my new glasses 15 minutes before closing (yikes! I hate doing this, but i got off work late so yeah). Mark was gracious and patient and I did not feel like I was being rushed although I also was trying to be courteous of his time, he made sure I left with what I needed and even double checked my pupillary distance to make sure that wasn't the problem. Dr. Monisha Paripatyadar is also very thorough and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to get their eyes checked here.

My wife's glasses had lost a screw so I took the glasses into the Alameda LensCrafters store though we bought the glasses elsewhere. Jessica greeted me and she was very friendly and helpful. If all we needed was a new screw they could help. Even though the repair required more than a screw, Marc was able to fix a clasp and replace screw. Glasses were good as new and they wouldn't take any payment. Great service and free. Very rare these days. So thankful to Marc, Jessica and LensCrafters.

Yesterday evening I was at South Shore Center and stopped by LensCrafters to see if someone could adjust some inexpensive frames purchased elsewhere. Patty helped me out and told me there was no charge. She also gave me a set of silicone pads to help make the frames more comfortable, no charge for those either. The experience couldn't have been more pleasant.

Called to have my prescription emailed to me and the lady who answered the phone laughed... instead of just explaining why she couldn't. She was quite rude when I was asking about options and then when she finally agreed to send my prescription in the mail she also made a mocking voice saying my name...it was totally rude!! I was going to buy new frames and lenses from them but now, Forget it! I don't want to give anymore money to a place that deems that behavior appropriate..

Extremely Disappointing Experience
I had a very frustrating visit at the LensCrafters in South Shore Center. We didn't have an appointment and walked in, and the staff guided us to their waiting area, assuring us that someone would be with us shortly. It was a Saturday and understandably busy, so we expected a bit of a wait but after 30 minutes, there was still no acknowledgement whatsoever that we were even there.
What made the situation worse was that other walk-ins who arrived after us were helped first, with no explanation. When we finally went up to the front desk to ask about the wait, we were completely ignored. There was no sign-in sheet, no system for checking in, and no effort from the staff to communicate or provide any updates.
The whole experience felt disorganized and dismissive. After waiting so long without anyone even recognizing us, we left feeling frustrated and unvalued as customers. I honestly can't recommend this location based on this visit.
