Doctor has always been on time! He is efficient and ameniable. I see other reviews that say the staff is rude. I have never found that to be the case. They conduct business in a business-like manner. In my book, rules are rules, some folks have a problem with that. I see him for myself, my son, and my handicapped sister. Have always been pleased by his proffessionalism.

The staff is very rude, the main lady in particular. It is as though she doesn't want to be there. She never smiles, talks really low with no enthusiasm. Never friendly or welcoming. Each time I have been there she always seems to be annoyed or in a bad mood. Makes me not want to go there anymore. The Dr is very old fashioned, but he is always very pleasant and funny.

I have gone here for many years. This is one of the few Drs that can get my mono vision contacts right. His office people aren't very friendly but this Dr Yockem is like an old friend. He always takes the time to converse and make sure my contacts are perfect for me.

The prescriptions are old school. I had difficulty getting my needs met. They didn't know how to design glasses for an athlete. They also placed the bifocal line too high and tried to convince me to keep it that way, as if I haven't worn glasses before. Nobody wants a bifocal line that covers half the lens. The doctor is a very kind man but I have gotten better glasses from Costco, Lenscrafters, and Target.

Dr. Yochem should have retired 10years ago. If you or a family member has a Chronic eye condition PLEASE !!!Do Not use Apple Valley optometry. They have old technology equipment which is not what most professional Optometrists are using to date. Martha is Rude and has no people skills. They are ONLY concerned with being Paid and when I told them what insurance my son had they were more than happy to get him booked to charge our insurance company a substantial amount of money for glasses that were the wrong prescription. Dr. Yochem has eye problems himself , so how and why can he still be practicing. He has oil in one of his eyes for the rest of his life,, he told me that himself. I believe Apple Valley optometry is involved in Insurance Fraud and between Myself and Blue Cross it will be revealed. Don't go to an optometrist that's Visually Impaired. His License should be REVOKED INDEFINITELY. He screwed over the wrong woman's son..

Took my daughte to them and was very pleased with the visit, the staff how quickly they got things done,and the professional way they took care of her eye needs. I do recommend them .

The first time I went it took at least 2 weeks to get my glasses the second time I went I still have not got my glasses and it has been at least 5 months now and my eyes are getting worse now I have to wait another 2 years to make another appointment
