Focus Vision Optometry

Be prepared to wait for hours, your time is not important. The idea that patients are expected to just wait hours past their appointment time, is absolutely not right. And it's bad business. but if the patient is more than 15 minutes late they are cancelled and charged. Unacceptable. EDIT: I wrote this review towards the end of the appointment. After writing this, I learned that my father's eye doctor, for his medical appointment for diabetes, was not actually present for the appointment. They were on a zoom call. I then asked the optician for the results of the medical portion of the appointment and I was told that it was not completed, even though I was given a medical appointment slot over a month ago, I specifically requested it, and traveled an hour to this location, in order to be seen sooner for my father's peripheral vision loss. So, "to make up for that" the optician left and came back and said that the doctor would review the regular exam that WAS done, remotely, and determine the medical condition of his eyes that way. Then the optician came back again with our paperwork to leave and didn't mention those "results" at all, I had to again, ask for the results of his so called medical exam. I was then told that everything looked fine and sent on our way. Now my father is unable to get a proper medical exam for a year, as it will not be covered because you guys wasted it. I plan to file a formal complaint and anything else we can do because this is just wild.

First time at Focus Vision Optometry. All of the employees were friendly and professional. Dr. Vanguilder was friendly and very attentive to my questions and testing needs. They stated my glasses would be ready in about two weeks so I will update about the delivery time and quality once I get them.

The staff is very nice and well informed. The eye Dr was professional and answered all of my questions and concerns. I will continue my care here. No complaints. *** Update 2025 Dr Z was very patient and informative, adapted perfectly and professionally with my Husbands questions and concerns on his 1st eye exam appointment. Again no complaints with services. My only request is to have more options for male frames covered by insurance.

Absolute worst optometrist to deal with. They do not carry Ray Ban Metas but stated if I brought my own in they can add my prescription to the lenses. So that's what I did. I brought in my own Ray Ban Metas to have my prescription added. They then called me 15 minutes later to say they are unable to work on Metas. They charged me $140, provided NO services and now refuse to refund my money. I've called to follow up for weeks now and the clueless staff don't know what to say other than the "Dr" has not got back to them. The best part is I then receive a text this week saying my glasses are ready. What?!?! Trust me. Steer clear of this place!

The Highland Springs office is very nice. Nice selection of frames. The staff was friendly and professional. I had a very nice experience with my eye exam and choosing new frames.

Worst customer service i ever experience. Even on an emergency case, it was going to be easy in and out. But, they refused to help.
