Optometric Cafe

I had a wonderful experience at the Optometric Cafe! I have a very high prescription and have been searching for frames that would truly work for me. After visiting so many opticians, this was the only place where I received such attentive, thoughtful care. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and meticulous with every detail. It is pricier than other places, but absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

I live in the neighborhood and was on a walk with my husband and my dog last weekend and stopped into the store to look for new frames as I had planned to buy a new pair before the end of the year. It was mid-day on a Saturday and I was the only person in the store. The man working in there followed me around the very small space as I began to look around. He would have been able to clearly see and speak to me from anywhere in the store, but was hovering over me from the moment I walked in. I asked to see a pair of Prada glasses and he encouraged me to try them on. After I did, I asked what the name of the style was and wrote it down in my phone with the intention of returning when I was ready to purchase so I could ask specifically for the pair I knew I liked. He asked if I wanted to try on any others and I offered to try on one more, honestly only because he was pressuring me so much. I then asked the name of the style again and wrote it down in my phone as I had before. At this point, his demeanor changed, and he said verbatim, "If you're just going to write down the names of what you want and then go purchase online, I can't help you." First of all, as I mentioned, I had originally just walked in to browse as my husband was waiting for me outside with our dog, I didn't have my credit card on me, I didn't have my prescription with me, and I didn't know yet how much my insurance would cover. I'm sure many people in Beverly Hills come in and purchase right on the spot, but there should be an understanding that not everyone is able to do that. Second, since when is it unacceptable to enter a store, look around, take note of what you like, and leave without purchasing at that specific moment? Everyone I know does this. Especially when it comes to more expensive purchases. I totally understand small businesses are losing customers due to the ease and preference of shopping online, but does that mean if you enter a store, you are obligated to buy something right then and there? And how does he know I wouldn't have come back? His assumption and rudeness resulted in his concern becoming the outcome. I am so off-put by the interaction, I would never consider returning.

I was visiting from Florida and needed to have some lenses changed on a few pairs of sunglasses. I called a few places in the area, and each place was asking an exorbitant fee as well as required over a week as they would send the glasses out. I had the good fortune of walking by the Optometric Cafe and I decided to pop in. The store is very nice, and Mostafa was very welcoming. I explained what I was looking for, and he let me know that they would be able to do it in about a day or two as the work was done onsite. He proceeded to quote me a very fair price for the work. I agreed, and within a day and a half, I had my two pairs of glasses back in my hands, with my new lenses installed. I was thrilled as they did an excellent job of providing a high level of quality work as well as customer service. I highly recommend.

It's always a pleasure to stop by this place in the heart of Beverly Hills and have Morteza help me with all of my Optometry needs. To my delight he went above and beyond for a repair need that I had.

I was looking for a fast and high quality. I found this place during the pandemic where the timeline for glasses everywhere was well over two to three weeks but they were really fast and great. I had also been searching everywhere for a more clear kind of glasses that if you're out in the evening and want to wear them to read something they don't show up too much and just as I had given up, I suddenly found one just like that here.
