Burlingame Optometry

I've gotten my glasses here multiple times. The medical staff is super friendly. Donnette is one of the best folks I've met. Helpful, follows up diligently and always puts you in a good mood. They really do a great job!

What a great experience! I had my eye exam today and picked out a couple of frames (regular & sunglasses). The doctor and office staff were were super professional/nice/fun (they helped me with the frame selection too) The experience was incredibly pleasant, and I can't say enough about how pleased I am to have found my new optometrist.

Not service dog friendly. I came in for a glasses adjustment cause my ears where really hurting. I am disabled and have a service dog. Instead of sympathy I was met with "no dogs allowed " and "back up, people may have allergies" I respect there rules and understand that they where not able to help me. But I will not be coming here again until the staff are probably ADA trained. And have better customer service.

Definitely recommend going here for your eye exam and buying a pair of glasses. The staff is super nice, and they have a nice selection of glasses. It's right by my work, and it took just a lil over an hour for the exam and ordering glasses. The office was nice and clean as well.

Great friendly staff. Work with you on appointments. Dr. Rudyak is fantastic! Nice first experience. Would recommend.

Reasons I won't be coming back: 1. They do not have a parking lot so you have to find street parking. This optometry is a house converted into an office. 2. They do not have a waiting room so you have to call when you get there so they can let you in, and sometimes they don't pick up the phone. 3. My regular eye check-up appointment went fine, but there were supposed to be some followups where the doctor was going to reach out to some lasik recommendations and get back to me. I never heard back even after I reminded them. 4. I ordered contacts before a month long trip and pre-paid in the office over $300. A couple days before the trip, I started emailing and calling them to get a status on my order. I didn't hear back from them until the day before I left for the trip. They only had a partial part of my order, which is fine but I thought was unprofessional of them to not answer my calls or emails until the very last minute. 5. When I went to pick up the rest of my contacts, I had an appointment to pick up at 1:15. When I got there, they didn't answer the door or pick up their phone. I had to yell through their mailbox slot to get someone's attention and when the lady opened the door, she seem offended that I had tried to get their attention. They told me I was supposed to pick them up at 11:30 and upon rechecking she realized that she had mistaken the time. I don't think this place is up to the standards of other optometry practices I have been to in the past. I only went here because it was the closest to my home, but I don't mind driving farther to get better service.

I've been seeing Dr. Rudyak for the last 3 years at her San Francisco practice and was super bummed about having to switch eye care providers when I moved to the South Bay. To my surprise, I found out that she also now practices in Burlingame which is much closer to me so I obviously followed her to her new location! Dr. Rudyak is thorough in her examinations, has the best bedside manner and the staff is always a pleasure to work with. I've been spending way too much time in front of the computer this past year and my new prescription glasses with a blue light anti-reflective coating have been an absolute life saver -- I no longer have migraines or feel fatigued at the end of the work day. I'm always terrified of having my eyes examined (I probably flinch the most out of all of her patients) but Dr. Rudyak actually makes me enjoy my annual eye checks. Look no further if you need an optometrist, you're in great hands at Burlingame optometry.

Always so kind and quick but still explain everything well and make sure if I have any questions or concerns they are addressed.
