I showed up a couple minutes late for my appointment due to traffic. When I walked in, I was very apologetic about not making my appointment on time, but the staff assured me that everything was okay and welcomed me in with a smile while completing my check-in. That was the first confirmation that I chose the right clinic. Shortly after arriving, Dr. Sheahan introduced herself and began listening to my concerns while examining my cat. She was so informative and explained everything to me in a way that I can actually understand!!! Unfortunately, this was not the same level of care that I received a few weeks prior at a different practice. Honestly, it almost felt too good to be true and I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'm so grateful for my experience from the moment I entered to the moment I left. It's been a struggle for me to find this level of care and service, so Veterinary Eye Clinic has made me a client for life!

They were so understanding when I was in a panic and I knew my dog's eye condition needed intervention immediately if I were to try and save his eye site. I was at work, but my dad was on the way with my pup. I spoke to Nina and she was able to contact a doctor right at 8 am (even though the doctor wasn't in clinic yet). They do not accept walk-in but they were able to accommodate same day. Dr. Goldenberg really took her time explaining the pathophysiology of glaucoma, treatment options and prognosis. She was realistic. Didn't sugarcoat it. Follow-up was easy! Overall, from start to finish this office really works well. Their communication is beyond!

My dog recently had cherry eye surgery and revision surgery here for a failed cherry eye surgery. Dr. Erickson and the staff are extremely reassuring, helpful and thorough. They are very caring and take their time to explain everything. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I bring my dog- Lola- here. The vet techs and vet (specially Dr Goldberg) are so incredibly kind and caring. They always are so friendly and the Vet is very knowledgeable. She is very present in her visits and really cares for animals. I understand being a vet and working in this industry can be hard- it's important that was thank them for everything they do. Their hard work does not go unnoticed! Lola appreciates the whole team!

(Un)fortunately, we ended up at VEC Calabasas after a botched eyelash tumor removal surgery at our primary vet's office. Everyone at VEC were fantastic in rushing us in for emergency examination and surgery on the same day we called in. It was an extremely dire situation for my pet, Little Guy, wherein he could lose his life. Dr. Erickson, head nurse David, receptionists and the army of technicians took the utmost care of Little Guy and gave him back his eyesight and life. We came in with a heartbreaking, stressful, painful, life threatening situation and it was handled with the utmost care, compassion, expertise and professionalism. The results have been astonishing and outstanding. Dr. Erickson has the expertise of a board certified veterinary opthalmologist and his surgical skills warrant even being able to perform neonatal eye surgery. From Little Guy and all of us in his family, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank Dr. Erickson, nurse David, the receptionists and technicians at VEC Calabasas for a flawless recovery. My dog had a serious eye injury but I was unable to secure an apt for him not just with his actual vet but I called about 6 other vet clinics who all had zero availability, all a good week or 2 out. My gut told me his eye was in bad shape and I kept up communication with the Calabasas eye clinic. The doctor noticed my concern and squeezed my dog in and the very next morning he was in surgery on this doctor's day off! She came in due to the severity of my dog's eye injury. To say I was grateful is an understatement. I'm still thankful and humbled by the help we received. Had I waited a week until a vet had an opening, my dog would have lost his eye.
