The receptionists are the worst, I've called up there multiple times to see about glasses I got prescribed almost 20 days ago. The optometrist said they would be done in 7-10 business days, and to call if they haven't reached out to me within those days. Here comes the time for that and I can't even get my call answered, when I do they act like they don't have the ability to transfer me, mind you I've been here and heard the phone ring for 5 mins straight, while the two girls in the front have conversations. The only people that seem to have any sense of urgency or work ethic are the techs that prepare you before seeing the eye doctor! It's quite frustrating because their job isn't complicated but yet getting simple information from them is beyond difficult and discouraging to want to keep coming back here, plus the lady eye doctor is the worse she's prescribed the wrong glasses to me and has shined that light in my eyes for more than 60 seconds, she's pretty intense and gives a racist undertone to people of color(brown black Asian) . The reason I'm back here is because she doesn't work there I forget what her name was but she was an older blonde lady! It Isn't Dr.Bullert she's the reason I come back because she is very AMAZING at her job she's caring and does the proper exam and right prescription! I don't always get her but when I do everything goes smoothly, of course after getting through the insufferable receptionists and ending with a even more attitudinal lady to pick out glasses. I don't know what happened to the staff but it's terrible and needs an evaluation and mostly new people!
But I am Glad you guys have gotten rid of the older white lady I've called corporate on her multiple times for medical malpractice reasons.
Overall wait time is way to high and service is below average and the accuracy is 30/70 ratio, if you can find another place with insurance it's highly recommended to do so!
You sign in when you show up to pick out frames, and then you get helped while everybody's waiting. I felt the pressure to pick out glasses and to hurry up. I didn't like that. Very stressful for me. Pretty small variety of frames. She suggested Eyes of Chico that takes MediCal if I couldn't find frames that fit. The lady was so rushed she couldn't help me pick out frames.
Front desk and doctor were both very nice and helpful. We were able to get my daughter the glasses she needed. Would definitely recommend.
The doctor and back off staff was amazing. Receptionist, no problem, My issue is with the lady that helps you with the eyeglasses. OMG was she snotty or a bad mood I do not know.. I found a pair I liked before my eyes were dilated to her and said oh they were right here a spot that was open thinking maybe they're in a basket all the time. Umm what I was told to not move them from the general area last tine. She seemed more interested in putting the few glasses that were in the basket back to their spots rather than helping me with the glasses I was currently needing help with after. She went on and on about how this particular pair comes in different colors because I wasn't a fan of the color they had on display. How am I supposed to know if that looks good on my face if I can't even see what they look like even on a model. She seemed annoyed with her and annoyed with me when I didn't put my glasses on when asking questions. She was also rude when she said the turnaround time for the glasses, which is ridiculously long and I know that parts not her fault, but she seems so rude when she was saying that it was going to be towards the end of December before I got the glasses.
This place needs to fire layoff move this woman to the back office billing or something else because she should not be upfront or customers are. Before I even called back Do you see the doctor, Well, still in the waiting room she was rude. It's too dumb teenage boys and their mom. Very snotty asking. Is this their last name is it the same or does they have two different Dad? The waiting room about seven other patients, including me! This mother and her son were of a different ethnicity than this woman who was supposedly supposed to be having customer service skills and help people! The poor mom looked at me like did she really just say that and you could tell she was upset. Then when mom asked the area her sons should look for there new glasses the women hugged and pointed over there.
Please hire a kind person to fill this role. I can't imagine how she'd act around a small child!
The front office staff were rude to me and my daughter after the doctor directed her to start looking at glasses in the lobby. The woman at the desk gave her an attitude when she instructed her to sign in at a table before looking any further, and could have informed her more politely (since no one had told her to sign anything first). I interjected to inform the staff that my daughter was just following what the doctor said, and she didn't need to direct her that way. My daughter is a teenager, so it wasn't like a small child was touching things that they shouldn't. It was resolved quickly, but I still didn't appreciate the rude tone.
This was our first visit here. Mai the receptionist was exceptional. She was very welcoming and made everyone feel comfortable. My daughter's appointment went smoothly. I was so impressed that I set up an appointment for myself. Everybody there seemed to really enjoy their job and their clients were very important.
My client went in to look at glasses, because their prices were unbelievably affordable. Walked in, wasn't greeted by anyone. She was trying on glasses and picking the ones she liked, when a receptionist went to the ONE lady working with another customer and told her she locked the door for lunch. When that woman looked at us and said they were closing. My client questioned the CLOSING comment. She rudely said " well they are locking the doors for their lunch, and I don't have a key you'll have to come back later". She lives in Red Bluff and this store is in Chico. Waiting around for an hour wasn't an option. Then she told the receptionist to unlock the door so we can leave. I personally wouldn't give them the pleasure of my business after that. I'll find somewhere else to go.
Peach Tree Vision Center in Chico, CA was a major disappointment. I paid over $450.00 to get a pair of eyeglasses from them and after receiving them, I realized the glasses didn't fit properly (usually optical places will aid the client in recognizing if the eyeglasses are too big or too small for their face). Not only were the eyeglasses a bad fit, but when I came in to pick them up, the woman working behind the counter did not adjust them properly and just said there wasn't much more she could do.
Now that I have had these glasses for about a month, I realize that the lenses are too small to utilize the progressive lens for reading. I paid $400.00 and am now stuck with them. Also, their eyeglass containers are flimsy and expected a little better for a $450.00 plus pair of eyeglasses.
I will never go to Peach Tree Vision Center, again, nor will I recommend it. In fact, I plan to discourage others from purchasing their eyewear at this place.
