Dr Arun was thorough, explained her findings and made recommendations to be proactive with my care. Sharp doctors such as my PCP are great. Sharp Rees Stealy has really failed at patient care with PSR's (patient service representatives) they are increasingly rude to patients, take a hig handed approach and in today's visit belittled an older patient. Seriously considering moving to UCSD after 30+ years of being a Sharp patient because management has no oversight of these PSRs; the surveys should be sent out regarding their customer service or better said lack of customer service.

waited nine months for this appointment and was extremely disappointed with the experience from the moment the physician entered the room. The doctor entered abruptly, left the exam room door open--creating a clear privacy and HIPAA concern--and immediately stated that if I did not consent to eye dilation, she would not proceed with any part of the visit. Before introducing herself, she dismissed the purpose of my visit, stating she could not help me and that I would need to see a different type of specialist. As a result, nothing was accomplished during a long-awaited appointment, and I am now forced to wait--again--for another referral and appointment, with no clear timeline. What was most concerning was the lack of professionalism at the start of the encounter. The physician did not introduce herself, spoke in a condescending manner, and treated me as though I was uninformed. Her demeanor noticeably changed only after learning that I work in healthcare, which further highlights the inconsistency in how patients may be treated. Regardless of background, every patient deserves respect, clear communication, privacy, and a proper introduction. This experience fell far short of those standards.

Dr Arun is a wonderful doctor in every way. Professional and thorough and really makes you feel comfortable and at ease with any procedure. Has always been on time and I appreciate that !! I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

The examination was detailed and very efficient. What particularly impressed me was the quality of advice Dr. Arun provided me. Her recommendations were scientific, but also practical to my situation. Dr. Arun advice has made and is continuing to make a significant difference in my progress in relation to my eye care.
