The staff is amazing, efficient, knowledgeable and caring. However the scheduling is HORRIBLE! Always behind, the wait time is ridiculous. Over 90 minutes from checking in (yes got scans and tests) and still waiting to see doctor. Having to drive 2 hours for appt the wait this long, to walk out so I don't miss other appointments scheduled is very disappointing.

The doctors are very skilled, however the scheduling and arbitrary prioritization of patients creates an extremely frustrating and inconsistent experience. Waiting 2 hours past the scheduled appointment time in the waiting room for a 10 minute visit with a doctor is ridiculous, and a common occurrence at this office.

I don't have one complaint about my experience at Humboldt Medical Eye Associates. The front desk staff, all the technicians, and Dr. Safi are experienced, kind, and organized. I had cataract surgeries on both of my eyes and they went so much more smoothly than I could've imagined. Dr. Safi has a bedside manner that is personable and professional and he is an excellent surgeon. He always ends an appointment by asking if you have any questions and stays in the room engaging with you until you get all your answers. If you are anxious and putting off surgery, this is the office you want.

Treatment was okay up until the point of surgery. The arrogance and inability to listen to the patient was astounding. I would not recommend. Especially if you anesthetic, torrent. I tried to explain it to the anesthesiologist and all I got back was arrogance.
