I had an awesome experience at Tri City Optometry today! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, professional, and provided excellent customer service. The entire office had such a warm and friendly atmosphere. Dr. Shital Chatwani was incredibly detailed, kind, and thorough during my exam. I truly felt listened to and well taken care of. It's clear she genuinely cares about her patients. Jody was also excellent in helping me find the perfect pair of glasses, she made the process easy and fun, and helped me choose frames that look great on me! Thank you for such a wonderful visit. I highly recommend this office!

I have visited Dr Chatwani multiple times and I feel satisfied that we chose her. We found her name from Google as well as on our insurance network. Everything is up-to-date, staff is very personable and the customer service is on point. She is thorough in her examination and she helped us to choose right type of glasses for a crystal clear vision. Best of all Dr Chatwani always goes above and beyond to make sure you get the best care. The optician staff helps you to pick the most appropriate eye wear for you. I highly recommend this office. I was looking for a new optometrist and found Tri-City Optometry online! The website and booking system is super easy to navigate and when I had a question, the person on the phone was super sweet. I went in today for my appointment with Dr. Chatwani, and she is the best optometrist I've worked with my entire life! The staff, Annel and Kyle, were also really sweet when I worked with them! Thank you so much!

I am having a bitter experience with my kids glasses and the way this has been handled, pathetic is an understatement. We ordered my kids glasses and the lens had to be upgraded, we did give the frame as they mentioned it might be needed, after 2 weeks I had an appointment with the doctor and coincidentally enquired about my kids glasses status and that is when they realized they lost the frames and now they are quoting it will take additional 3 weeks to receive and absolutely no regret, no follow up. It is very hard to comprehend how can they be seriously so pathetic. As I write this review we still wait for my kids glasses. Also, I cannot understand the purpose of taking appointment if we have to wait for 10 to 15 mins just to gain their attention. I would rather prefer to go somewhere else where they at least respect our time and have better customer service.

I've been a loyal patient at Tri-City Optometry for the past 20 years, originally following Dr. Chatwani from her former office in Newark. My experiences have consistently been exceptional, which led me to transfer our care to her new location in Fremont. Two years ago, I encountered an unfamiliar situation regarding my eye exam and contact lenses for the first time. As I was new to the process, I felt a bit lost. After receiving my glasses, I decided to visit another optometry office for my contact lens prescription and exam to avoid the hassle of returning to Fremont constantly, especially since I live quite a distance away. However, I found that making the trip once a year for my family's check-ups was reasonable. Last year, my children, husband, and I had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Young. She was incredibly kind and understanding, recommending that I consider both contact lenses and glasses during my visit. I appreciated her approach as it allowed me to take my time in making a decision without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. This year's experience exceeded my expectations. Just four days after purchasing new glasses, my daughter accidentally broke hers. However, Annel, one of the staff members, went above and beyond to assist us. Her kindness and attentiveness made me feel truly heard and valued. There was a moment where I contemplated switching to a different optometry office after two decades of loyalty, but after these recent positive interactions, I've decided to remain with Tri-City. I feel grateful not only for the wonderful care we receive but also for the improvements in staff that have made our experiences even better.

Tri-City Optometry is the gold standard for bad customer service. This review is written on behalf of my sister, who is hesitant to post under her own name because she recently purchased an expensive pair of glasses here and is worried about possible issues or retaliation if she needs repairs in the coming year. Dr. Shital Chatwani rushes through the appointment, speaks down to the patient, does not answer questions clearly, and becomes visibly impatient when questions are asked. The entire interaction felt less like a medical appointment and the clear priority seemed to be getting the patient out quickly and into ordering expensive glasses, rather than taking time to explain things or address concerns. It honestly felt like dealing with a businessperson more than a doctor. Unfortunately, the poor experience did not stop with the doctor. The overall leadership and culture of this office seems weak, and it shows in the behavior of the staff. There are many employees walking around, yet when customers have questions, they often say "I'm busy" and walk away without offering to find someone else to help. In a professional practice, you would expect at least a basic effort to redirect you to another staff member. That simply does not happen here. The staff appear selectively nice to people they are trying to secure business from but otherwise the service is consistently rude, rushed, and unhelpful. The overall attitude is 'take it or leave it.' Even when there is no problem, you are treated with disregard. If there is a problem, I would not trust this office to handle it with care or professionalism. There are many excellent optometrists who accept VSP and other insurance plans. I strongly encourage people to look elsewhere and consciously choose to support a practice that actually respects its patients.

I had a fabulous experience with Dr. Walker. She spent a great deal of time with me to help ensure the best possible plan to address my vision issues. i had been feeling discouraged about my vision issues and left there feeling optimistic.

Fantastic first time experience for me and my son! Dr. Chatwani took time to really explain everything and actually educate us! They were awesome in getting our insurance coverage as well. Super friendly, helpful, and patient! Highly recommend.
