Alan Uyemura OD

My entire family and a few friends are now with Dr.Uyemura's practice. My mom just recently went and she is so pleased with this office. Her and my brother had such a nice experience. They called and got a very quick appt. Doctor is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.

Just called the front office to schedule an appointment for my children. New patients. The attitude of the front desk lady was appalling. I have never come across a ruder employee for a medical office. I would suggest finding a new receptionist if you want this business to prosper. She was a horror to speak to. Absolutely disgusted by the professionalism of this office. You have lost three new patients. Do better!

Doctor is very nice and explains everything great, but the front staff is not very helpful. I ordered contacts on Dec and I just got them today February 10. They lied about placing the order, and when I would call and ask about an update they would blame it on the weather or it being backed ordered. Never again will I come here.

Worst place to get your eyes looked at , by a Asian doctor , don't have him look at your eyes he will fake a diagnosis without any tests to prove you actually have that diagnosis, sent me over to a specialist when the specialist said " idk what he is talking about you do not have that diagnosis " he sent me back with a letter and test they did to show my tests that same doctor tried to say without looking at my paper that the specialist gave me that I still have that diagnosis, he shouldn't be faking anyone's diagnosis that's a law suit right there !!! My new eye doctor ran test on me recently and I have no diseases in my eye no nothing Do not go here !!

Just spoke on the phone with an employee wanting to schedule an appointment. She was very rude and had a nasty attitude. Get better employees with positive attitudes. Ended up not scheduling an appointment.

I had a very disappointing experience with Alan Uyemura office. I waited over a month for my sunglasses, which is far too long. I called four times to check on the status and was always told the lab was still working on them due to the "irregular" oval shape of the lenses. However, I've had several pairs with the same lens shape done at LensCrafters without any issues. Frustrated, I requested that they ship my sunglasses back to the office because I plan to take them elsewhere. Throughout this entire process, the staff showed little to no concern or urgency about my situation. The lack of communication and care was very disappointing and frankly ridiculous. I would not recommend this place based on this experience.

I've been going to Uyemura for 20 years. The service is very punctual, professional and communicative. Even when I had to get Medi-Cal after aging out of my mother's insurance I can sense the quality of care never diminishes. You are in good hands here.

Frankly speaking, the doctor is smart and understanding, and the girls at the office service are very cooperative. I even arrived at the clinic without an appointment and they were very understanding. When I needed glasses, I received them immediately within two weeks. This means that the clinic, the employees, and the doctor are all excellent in serving customers. My advice is to find the right doctor and get the correct diagnosis.
