Dr. David R.Sivas Optometrist

Been going to Dr. Sivas for years. My entire family comes here as well. They have the best level of care and I highly recommend. Reception is fantastic as well. Great selection of glasses. I got contacts here for the first time and had the most amazing experience.

I called to schedule an appointment for contacts and the whole process was frustrating. What I thought would be a simple eye exam with contacts ended up taking almost 2 hours, only to be told afterward that the contact exam was separate. That felt like a way to tack on extra charges, along with a bunch of unnecessary tests just to bill insurance more. On top of that, the doctor didn't even greet me or introduce himself--he went straight into talking about politics, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. To make things worse, I was asked to write my Social Security number on a random piece of paper because they didn't want to grab my chart. Overall, I would not recommend this place. If i could give this place a 0 they definitely deserve that.

Great experience with Dr. Sivas and staff. I went with contacts and glasses. I am taking my daughter here next week and am referring the rest of my family.

Best eye doctor out there! I travel from the Bay Area just to see Dr. Sivas. Incredible staff and I always leave her with a great experience.

Dr. Sivas was not personable and didn't have good bedside manner, but he was thorough with his exam. We'll see if the prescription is accurate. It's been more than 2 months and I still haven't gotten my glasses. When I called for updates (and she actually answered), she gave me the same story about how the insurance takes a long time. I tried calling but would never get an answer and no call back when I left messages. I had to drive down there just to speak to her. Comes to find out, she never submitted the order! For over 2 months! Lied to my insurance, lied to me about when to expect them and what happened (with NO apology mind you) and probably lost my file. It wasn't until I had my insurance call that they submitted the order. Now I have to wait ANOTHER 4-6 weeks! I wouldn't recommend going to this facility but if you do, I'd say get your prescription and go somewhere else for your glasses.
