Dr. Shaw Yorizane Jr.

There is no doctor like Dr. Yorizane. He invests in his patients well-being like no other doctor I've ever met. Dr. Yorizane takes eye care to a completely different level, especially since the eyes are able to tell health care practitioners more about a patients health than many other invasive tests. I was convinced by my first visit that I was in the right place when I spoke with him for the very first time. Dr. Yorizane cares about his patients and he makes sure to educate them about their health. While some offices routinely prescribe lenses and frames to simply correct vision, Dr. Yorizane seeks to improve health, improve vision and backs up his practice with the best lenses and frames, along with easy access any day of the work week. Premium health care for patients who want better health. I've never had better eye care, better support for my eye-ware / eye-wear, and the lenses he has prescribed are the absolute best that I've ever used in my 12 years of needing glasses--they are amazingly durable. I appreciate his support staff. They are easy to speak with and They've always been supportive whenever I've needed to reschedule an appointment. I can mention many, but Cindy is awesome when it comes to accurately fitting your glasses. She's absolutely great. I'm grateful for Dr. Yorizane and anytime I have a friend that needs eye care, I am sure to let them know about this practice.

I came in to see Doctor Yorizane and his staff, Desiree. I really like them both. I did have to get glasses and Desiree did an amazing job of making sure I was taken care of. I even decided that the glasses I choose were not the ones I wanted... so I called her and I came back into the office and she had everything ready for me for the glasses I did want. She ran my insurance and was incredibly helpful. Also, Desiree and the doc are very knowledgeable and did a very extensive exam and told me a lot about my eyes. I highly recommend this place.

Dr. Yorizane and staff are top notch. His service is not only for eye exams, but this is a red carpet style, thorough eye exam. You will go through a series of tests to make sure you're eyes are in good health and anything pertaining to it, he will know. Dr. Yorizane was able to review tests and have a one on one with me at the end where he went over everything. I would highly recommend Dr. Yorizane for your next eye exam. His staff will pretty much figure out the billing part dependent on your insurance so you don't have to do much on your end.

Dr Yorizane is very knowledgeable. His staff is very professional. They have advanced medical equipment to help your needs. You will not get a better service ANYWHERE in town. They will take care of anything you need for your eyes. I think some of these other comments are ridiculous. Don't complain if you are late for your appointment. I am always in and out in a timely manner.

Dr. Yorizane is one of the most thorough professionals in Fresno, and very involved with his patients' optical and overall health. His examinations do take a little time and you're definitely not in-and-out here, but when it comes to your optical health, why do you want to be fast tracked? The healthcare that you receive here also goes impressively beyond your eyes, too.

Best one I've been too and my vision is very bad. He has very advanced technology to test your eyes. The wait wasn't long at all and my prescription was ready pretty quickly as well and was priced very well with my insurance coverage. Dr. Yorizane was very nice and patient and answered all of my endless questions without hesitation or irritation. Highly recommended.

Generally, I do not take the time to write reviews unless my experience absolutely warrants the need to be shared. My eight-year-old son was recently referred to Dr. Yorizane and I was thoroughly disappointed with our visit. I felt as if Dr. Yorizane was more of a sales man than an actual optometrist, which caused my husband and I to seek out a second opinion in order to verify the information we received. In short, a second well-respected optometrist was able to confirm that the issues Dr. Yorizane claimed were present were not actually there. This by no means negates the fact that Dr. Yorizane is very knowledgeable and well-read in the area of vision related issues. I just simply feel he takes advantage of those who may not know much about these issues. I offer this brief review as a warning to all parents who choose to utilize Dr. Yorizane's services. As I am sure you already know, do not be afraid to ask follow up questions and seek out a second opinion if you are unsure of the outcome of the visit.

Dr. Y was the first optometrist I went to, after moving to Fresno from the L.A. area. Prior to him, I had NEVER experienced such an amazingly thorough optometrist. So he has now been my Dr. for THIRTY years now. And I also follow his advice, if he has referrals for my other health needs! He stays on top of the newest advancements for eye care needs, and his office equipment he uses, proves it! Of ALL of the medical doctors I have seen, in Fresno, he is simply THE BEST! The man has the kind of smarts, to have become an eye surgeon. But his is more committed to helping his patients keep their vision!
