Fig Garden Optometry

I am dropping this place like a bad habit! Had a pretty good experience up until recently. Took a pair of frames I bought there previously in to have new prescription lenses. After a few weeks get the call to pick them up. The girl brings them out and the rim is broken and the lense is popped out. The glasses had never had a single sign of damage prior! They charged me $170 to buy new frames. Then after weeks of trying to talk to Dr. Jensen about the wrong doing and initiating a lawyer due to her neglecting to responding. They returned half the money that I had paid. Somehow they felt I was partly financially responsible for their office and lab damaging my property while in their possession. I have changed optometrists, this was probably the most u professions thing I've experienced in a medical setting to date. Know your rights before using this place.

Love this office. Have been going here over 25 years. Staff is so friendly and helpful. I see Dr Jensen for my eye appointments and she is just great! They have state of the art equipment and located in a nice area. Highly recommend them! You won't be disappointed.

Top notch eye care is the only way I can describe Fig Garden Optometry. From their front desk staff to the eye doctors themselves, the way they care for patients is welcoming and reassuring. Dr. Jensen has been my eye care provider for years, and she always takes the time to do a thorough exam and explain treatment or concerns to me. I never feel like she is rushing through my appointments to get to her next patient, and the office always works hard to ensure my glasses are properly made. Although I have not lived in Fresno for the past several years, the drive to get to the office is well worth the care I receive.

I really like, respect and comply with dr Krohn .. great bedside manner.... Really very very sharp... Brought to my attention a cataract in one eye .... Made referral.... I'm very motivated.... Thanks to dr Krohn and Dr Bishop..... Would highly recommend.... Lou hite

Fig Garden Optometry is awesome. Dr. Goebel is always very kind and takes time to answer my questions and concerns. I definitely feel cared for as a patient here and the service has always been top-notch. I highly recommend.

Very rarely do I have an experience where every thing just clicks and works as it should. In a time where every thing seems hard pressed and expedited let me share with you a pleasant surprise. I had scheduled an appointment for a few weeks into the future as the schedule was booked at far out in advance. I asked to be put on call should any cancellations happen to occur. Mind you, this conversation happened around 9:30am. By 3:30pm i was being seen for my initial appointment. We're off to a great start here. Well chalk that one up to just plain ole luck of the draw. Next, I arrived and was pleasantly greeted by the front desk staff. Very personable & approachable staff. They helped me along with the intake process and had me sit in the waiting area and await my turn to be seen. In any business where you interact with the public, You want your best people out in front. They have really good staffing up front at your first point of contact. So far so good Fig Garden Optometry. The tech came and got me and lead me back for my preliminary exams. She was very professional and personable. She made the process feel easy and helped me understand what was being done. She made the interaction pleasant by being patient and making it easy to ask questions about the process. I can honestly tell you I'm very impressed with the entire office experience to this point. We concluded the exams and i was lead back to another room to wait to be seen by the optometrist. After a few minutes the Optometrist Alicia Liao, OD. walked in. We introduced ourselves and jumped right into the exam. First impressions are key with me. She made me feel welcomed from the get go. She has a very wonderful demeanor to her. She's very easy to converse with and really makes you feel at ease. So much so that I found myself asking questions that I had always wanted to ask my optometrists in the past but never felt comfortable enough to do so. The eye exam process never felt rushed. I felt like I had her individual attention and really felt like I could discuss any issues or concerns I may have had. That may seem normal for most but a lot of times it's never felt like a safe or comfortable enough space to really talk freely and openly about any concerns or issues one may be going through. Not the case here. Quite the opposite to be honest. That's key for me. Consistency is another huge area I grade heavily on. All of which helped create a great space and a place you definitely want to visit. I have so many great things I can say about Alicia Liao but just take my word for it, if you're looking for a new optometrist, she's who you want as yours. She's definitely a great bench mark to compare other medical professionals you deal with in your life. They should all be as personable and attentive as she is. I truly felt seen and heard and that's what I want from someone charged with looking out for my health & well being. Thanks Alicia. Lastly I dealt with Ms. Kenzy in regard to my glasses. She like everyone else in this office was a complete joy to deal with. Very easy to deal with. She was thorough in telling me my options and what my insurance covers and what's not covered. I felt well informed and felt like I could make some decisions based on sound advice. Remember what I said about consistency... it's not just the front desk staff or the optometrist who's nice here!! They're all that way. Rarely do I ramble like this in reviewing any place but I felt like they truly deserve it here. They have a 4.9 google rating...and while we all can't be perfect, this professional office is as close as they come to it!! I left there never once feeling rushed or as if I was asking dumb questions. I left there knowing not only will I be coming back here for all my eye care needs but I am for sure also gonna recommend them to any one I can in the future!! It was a real pleasure to have been seen today by you all. I have found my new optometrist home!! Thank you all!! You guys rock!!

I injured my eye and reached out to see if I could get in urgently, and the receptionist at the front desk worked with me to get seen in a timely manner and was so kind and understanding. Brenda and Dr. Liao were so friendly and professional as well! I had a great experience and will definitely recommend to others :) Thank you all!
