Dr. Kathleen J. Dennis-Zarate, MD

I rarely write any reviews, but my experience today justifies it. My appointment was at 3:45pm. I get there, pay my co-pay, and wait 45 minutes until my name is called. The receptionist calls me over and informs me that I will not be able to be seen today because my insurance only covers the other doctor at that clinic and not it does not cover Dr. Zarate. I really don't understand why they did not check my insurance when I made my appointment over a month ago, when they called me yesterday for an appointment reminder, or when I first got to my appointment. Instead, they charge my copay and then wait 45 minutes to figure this, and then tell me I need to reschedule. After all that, they were not able to squeeze me in for an earlier appointment, instead they give me an appointment an entire month out. I'm extremely disappointed and wasted a lot of time for no reason.

Dr. Zarate and Dr. Park are both wonderful. They are great ophthalmologists and they really take the time to answer all your questions. There office will always try to accommodate you, even if you call at the last minute. And if you leave a message on the weekend, one of them will call back!!! Who does that? Also, it's a detail but they validate parking. I highly recommend it.

My family & I love Dr. Zarate! She's a top notch doctor, smart, warm, caring, sincere & she's not after the money. I don't mind waiting long for her to see me because it sure is hard to find a doctor that you can trust.

I just love Dr. Kathleen Zarate, she is amazing. Although she's very professional. It hasn't kept her from being warm and caring. She takes the time to give you a thorough examination. Dr. Zarate cares about her patients and about their eyes as if they were her own. Last year, I had major complications from diabetes and was seriously scared because it really affected my eyesight, however, Dr. Zarate showed me so much understanding and patience. My sister has to have cataract surgery and I refuse to allow anyone other than Dr. Zarate do it. Because I know that she will really care about her. Also, the office staff are very welcoming, helpful and supportive and so friendly. The office is always neat and clean. If you need to see an eye doctor...trust me you won't find one as wonderful as Dr. Kathleen J. Dennis-Zarate.

Although Dr. Zarate seemed very nice and knowledgeable in my 2 visits, her office suffers badly from organizational and communication skills or practice. My first call with a question took 3 days to be returned. My second call was never returned. I'll now look for another ophthalmologist.

Dr Zarate she is a great vision care doctor helpful understanding, and asks if I have any more question. Dr Zarate has been my vision care doctor since I was little. My family and I are grateful and blessed to have a doctor like Dr Zarate. I am proud to call Dr Zarate my Doctor.

I've had it with this office. I don't see anyone for about half of an hour AFTER my appointment. They have given me an incomplete and wrong prescription for contacts. I was there today hoping to have the contact prescription corrected (wrong prescription for each eye). Other people were there with earlier appointments, but I was told I was next (after complaining). But that didn't happen either! There are other previous problems, but I'm done. If you have all day to sit and wait, go for it. They just over-appoint at your expense. You have been warned.

Dr Zarate is an Amazing vision care Doctor she treated my Mom like she knew her for life sweet kind loving and very patient... My mom feels so comfortable with her and she did an Awesome job with her eyes... Thanks so much Dr Zarate :)
