I had an amazing experience with my ICL surgery performed by Dr. Mandel. From start to finish, he took exceptional care of me. His staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to answer every question I had about the procedure.
Dr. Mandel exceeded my expectations with his patience, expertise, and genuine concern for my comfort. Choosing ICL has truly been one of the best decisions I've ever made. My vision is now better than 20/20, and the difference is unbelievable. The entire procedure was quick and smooth, and I felt supported every step of the way.
I highly recommend Dr. Mandel to anyone considering vision correction -- you will be in the best hands.

Everyone was exceptional! From the initial exam to the checkups following the procedures, everyone was great. Before the initial appointment I received a packet of information to explain the different types of procedures that Dr.Mandel does, this information helped me understand what to expect. The procedure itself was nearly painless and the results are amazing!! I'm so glad Dr Melendez referred me to his practice no more contacts!!!
Everyone at Optima gets 100%!!! The level of care I received was top notch. After my cataract surgery I received a follow up call from the surgical nurse making sure I was taking my drops, reminding me to take the pills for my pressure and then ask if I had any questions. All of my follow-up appointments were quick, accurate and helpful. One thing I most appreciated when I had my consult with Dr. Mandel was that any decision I made about my lenses was completely mine. In fact, Dr. Mandel said to me I'm not here to try and spend your money. He was very honest and upfront and just wanted me to know all the options available to me. I cannot recommend anyone other than Dr. Mandel and his entire staff. They were absolutely amazing.
I just went through Clear Lens Exchange with Dr. Mandel at Optima in Hayward. The experience was beyond my expectations. The entire team at Optima are truly focused on elevating the patient experience. They were committed to delivering me the vision outcome i was looking for, to be glasses free for the majority of the activities I enjoy. Dr. Mandel and his team were attentive to every detail that insured a successful result.
My cataract surgery was an outstanding success! The procedure, which i chose to have done with laser assistance, went extremely well. The correct intraocular lens has made a remarkable difference, significantly correcting my astigmatism. Dr Mandel was incredibly helpful thoroughly explaining the procedure and setting clear expectations. The entire staff was professional, attentive and completely on top every detail from preparation through to the surgery

I just had my light adjustable lens implant surgery three weeks ago, From the time I had my consultation to now I was treated first class by the staff and the Doctor and I have been to San Jose Hayward and Castro Valley office, that's why my wife will have her consultation appointment next month to get the same surgery I had. Again, the Dr, the staff are the most professional wonderful kind people I have ever met
