After more than 25 years of coming to this office, I was ghosted. I am thankful that it happened because I needed a reason to leave anyway. It is unfortunate that after 2 voicemails and 1 text message, I could not get anyone to call me back to reschedule my appointment. I loved this place when Dr Pope was around. Sadly he retired otherwise I would have followed him wherever he went. I was not the biggest fan on Dr Z but I'll leave that alone. The staff has always been awesome here, I just don't think the Dr Z is great and her office is a reflection of that. Anyway, goodbye, I have moved on

My recent experience at The Optometry Center in Hayward was absolutely awesome. Raquel, Paulina, Magdalen and Dr. Zhublawar (aka Dr. Z) are all super friendly and professional. Patient care was thorough and efficient. This is my second visit with Dr. Z. Each time I received excellent patient care. Wait time was also efficient. Thanks to ALL for your great patient care, it is certainly much appreciated! :) 8/7/25 - Big thanks to Raquel for repairing my computer glasses today. She replaced both nose pads and made some much needed adjustments as well. Can't say enough how much I appreciate the care I receive at each and every visit. Thanks again, Raquel. :)

Bilingual English and Spanish staff. Great advisors, I got my polarized sun glasses with prescription and I love driving with them. Thanks a lot. Always make previous appointment for eye exam, frame selection or adjustment.

I was a patient of Dr. Pope for many years. He saved my mother's eye sight from macular degeneration by referring her to a specialist when another Dr. missed it. Dr. Z is great. My hope is that she does not retire anytime soon. She is professional, unhurried, and treats me with respect. Her staff gives patients a full battery of tests before seeing her which others don't always do. Staff helped me save money on my frames and didn't try to "up sell me" to more expensive models. Five stars all around !

Terrible customer service, have been coming for years and have bought contacts online before but recently did a contact order for a 1 year supply and only received the contacts for the left eye and when I asked where the right eye contacts where they told me for weeks that they were still being made. After around 3 months of waiting without getting anything I reach out for a tracking update and they now are telling me that both boxes were delivered and that they can't do anything and I have to reach out to the contact maker and the delivery to see what went wrong, basically making me do their job in figuring out what went wrong and from the tone of the person I spoke to she was very rude and cut me off in the middle of me speaking to tell me that someone was going to reach out to me. Definitely going to be going somewhere else, terrible customer service

So, the review below i typed 2 years ago. Im sorry to say, it no longer holds true. Oh, Dr Z is still outstanding, but her business will fail with the current staff she employs. I have left two voice mails, i have left one email. NO ONE EVER answers the phone PERIOD. NO ONE EVER calls back. I have been trying to reach someone in this office since January 8. Im done. After 30 years combined with Dr Pope and Dr Z, im moving on. Mind you... im not even an insurance patient. I pay cash when i see them... no insurance company lesser negotiated rate... i pay cold hard cash, and they cant call me back. ORIGINAL REVIEW: So Dr Pope retired and I wasn't certain what I'd do after 30 years under his care. Decided to make an appt with his partner, who actually bought the practiced from him several years ago. THAT WAS THE CORRECT MOVE! Dr Z is fantastic! She's personable, professional, had read my records before I arrived, didn't rush me and gave my eyes a thorough exam. When I explained my current vision challenges, she offered solutions and we agreed on a plan of action. By the time I left, I felt like I'd known her for years. I live in Roseville now, and she's definitely worth the drive. Try her. Excellent!

I started coming here when my daughter was 3 than her siblings n i,she is now 40,we all still come here, they're excellent
