Laser surgery for glaucoma with Dr. Edward Yung went extremely well. I was in and out of the office under an hour. No pain just a little irritation on the first day. He explained everything throughly. His staff was so friendly. I'm very happy with the procedure.

My appointment was assigned incorrectly for cataract examination instead of being a glaucoma patient. After seeing the doctor, I felt insulted and disrespected by the way he talked to me. While I admit to falling short in doing my part as I should have over the years, it didn't warrant the way that he conversed with me. I am 70 years old and I've had glaucoma for 20 years, and I've never left ANY doctor's office feeling like this!

Left usdatisfied. No matter how many times I said my one eye was prodruding more than normal he wouldn't believe me. He never saw me before. The medical student who referred me detected a combination of symptoms. Slower reaction time and the size difference between my 2 eyeballs. And explained the pain I felt when I looked up and side to side was the upper orbital muscles. This doc said it's all caused by dry eyes. How can dry eyes cause sore muscles? He used a measuring device to try to say they stick out the same- but had the smaller eye side in deeper than the larger side. I tried to say it was digging into the side of my eye but he didn't listen to that either. Who is right? The doctor who rushed through a set of tests and brushes off everything I say or the medical student with something to prove. My eye aches as I write this. I know what dry eyes feel like . This is coming from above the inside 3rd of my eye. I guess the symptoms have to progress more for him to be able to detect it.

Doctor Yung performed surgery for both of my eyes ( cataract) and I am so gratitude for the successful results. I now can see good .
Thanks to doctor 's professional skills in surgeon for cataract. He also treated me glaucoma and after the cataract surgery, I do not need to use drop to adjust the pressure of on my left eye. I am so happy!

Staff and doctor in Dr. Yung's office are very difficult to reach. Phone messages are not returned. We were referred to a pharmacy in Texas that required additional attention from the doctor and are still waiting for his response nearly 4 weeks later.
Doctor/patient interaction is extremely brief and I was left feeling as though my concerns were not addressed.

Dr. Yung, who is a competent doctor, believes in ripping the bandage off with bad news. Which I can appreciate. But I would have appreciated being given a minute to digest what I was hearing and discussing options. It was like he dropped a bomb and left quickly after laying out a possible step forward. One that would not work for me. Perhaps he had a bad day. But maybe a discussion on his beside manner is in order.

Doctor Yung is an excellent ophthalmologist. Went in to get a lesion checked for my right eye and he took the time to double check my left as well (discovering there was also a small lesion in the left eye). He succinctly described the next steps and reassured my concerns. He also, wanted to schedule a follow up to be sure that no one dropped the ball.
