I had cataract surgery yesterday at the Upland Pacific Eye Center and had an excellent experience. Dr. Peter Beckendam was professional, thorough, and very reassuring. The nurses and staff were kind, attentive, and extremely well organized, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. I was very pleased with how the entire process was done in a timely manner - no waiting time at all. I am very grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend this practice.

Hello ladies and gentlemen, I'm happy to give Pacific eye institute the upland CA area office a well deserved five star rating based on the overall experience which is phenomenal I can see much better now the procedure was painless and professional from a team that brought spectacular results, I now have confidence to apply for a driver's license because of the vision clarity that I now have, if you are looking for a considerate and caring place that looks forward to helping individuals to obtain as close as possible to 20/20 vision it feels great to have clear eye sight again I feel safer and more confident to do the things that we have to do during our daily lives, thank you for reading my testimony, this is my sincere review and I hope that your vision is well.

Very efficient and professional. Told me what I would be receiving with my lens replacement and It looks like it's all good. It's only been one day since my second surgery, so still seeing what I was missing. Pretty exciting so far. Dr. Sharon Liao was also great in checking my eyes and answering the many questions that came up. And kudos to Dr. Donald Spaulding for recommending Dr. Peter Beckendam and Pacific Eye Institute. I had cataract surgery with Dr Bekendam. Everything went very smooth! There were no problems and it was over with quickly! I was awake but didn't feel a thing. Dr Bekendam informed me of every step he was doing. He called me a few hours later to check on me and the next day a nurse did the same. I definitely felt taken care of. I had been afraid to do surgery on my eyes because of how sensitive they are. But he was great and it was fast. I had no unpleasant side effects after surgery. Just a little blurry vision for one day. Next day I was back to normal!! Thank you Dr Bekendam and Pacifica Eye Institute!

1st appointment I was delighted with my experience meeting Dr. Beckendam. He explained the results of my eye examinations and necessary treatment. Then went on to ask me questions as to my concerns or fears of undergoing treatment.Turns out my concerns were common to the majority of people as well as the satisfactory results most people enjoy. I appreciated the fact he was seeing me as a whole person and not just a surgical procedure. It mattered that I was comfortable with all the information he was sharing with me. I'm not sure I've ever experienced that level of professionalism before. I must add that I found the entire P.E.I. staff was very kind and attentive as well. Lastly, I was impressed by the very collegial environment between members of your staff at all levels; appears to be a happy place to work. Congratulations to P.E.I. I appreciate that arrangements were made to see me quickly because I was in there with my father's post op surgery appointment yesterday and they made arrangements to see me for some eye issues that I was having. The doctor was very informative he sat and listened to my story and really explain things and gave me a lot of options and treatment to consider. I highly recommend this doctor. The staff was friendly and pleasant and they did everything they could to get me through quickly because my father was waiting in the car after his examination.

Dr Beckendam himself and his anesthesiologist are a 10 out of 5. They are so patient, so thorough, so gentle, great bedside manner, completely explain everything they're doing before they start, and make you feel so extremely comfortable. I never felt forced or rushed to have my surgery. My doctor is amazing. The only reason for my 4 stars is because I feel the area behind the curtain, next to the reception area where they take your temperature, ask your weight, and start your IV is not private enough. I could hear everything about the previous patient's personal information while sitting in the waiting room. That is the only thing negative I have to say. All around other than that, this is an amazing group.

Dr Bekendam was very professional. Did a good job taking filaments off my eyes. Even gave me a sample of an antibiotic for free. I would recommend him for your ophthalmologist.
