The opthalmologist, Dr. Salib, does thorough eye exam and has good bedside manners, and answers all my questions.The technical staff who do preliminary tests are very efficient and excellent, too - takes them only 20-25 minutes. The receptionist staff is great, too. The only slight issue may be that between the prelim tests and the doctor coming in to see you, there is a huge wait - almost 30 minutes. If that was compressed to few minutes for the eyes to dilate, say, to15 minutes, then that would be perfect! Overall, however, I give it an excellent grade: 5/5.

Dr. Salib gave me the greatest Christmas gift.... clear and beautiful vision! I had no idea how bad cataract in both eyes had progressed. Cataract is a slow process that my body and brain adapted to and accepted. Dr. Salib performed surgery in both eyes. After my first surgery, I was amazed at what my sights had missed over the years. The ridges on Saddleback Mountain were pronounced, airplanes and birds were in the sky, and ships off Laguna Beach were present! And now after my second surgery I have full, clear, amazing vision. It's like looking at life in 8k! Dr. Salib and his professional staff were amazing, helpful, and caring. I strongly recommend Orange County Eye Institute for your eye care and surgery. The best medical experience of my life. Had caterac surgery and Dr Salib was able to restore my sight to 20/20. As a senior, I highly recommend you trust your eyes to this highly qualified and extraordinary physician. The entire staff reflect the sincerity, talent and ethic that flows from the top.

This is the best eye institute I have ever visited. The care is exceptional from start to finish--from the front office staff to the technicians. Dr. Khalil, the optometrist, and Dr. Salib, the ophthalmologist, are both outstanding. Every part of the experience was professional, efficient, and truly patient-focused.

They are friendly, efficient, out going and always working to give you great service. The Doctors are friendly and talk to you not at you. It's an all around great place to get your eyes taken care of.

The whole team is excellent. Very helpful over the phone with follow up questions, insurance issues and referrals. Dr. Salib is very thoughtful and thorough. I'm really glad my optometrist (Aliso Optometry, also great) referred me here.

I am updating my review in response to the doctor's office reply: My original review is posted below but in response I would like to contradict the office's response that my check out time was 10:10. That is a blatant mistruth. I did not leave the doctor's office until after 10:30!! I know because I had to answer to my manager when I went into work. Unbelievable. So not only was the office visit a nightmare, now they are saying my time schedule is wrong??? Honestly, at this point I don't even know what to say other than to say that their statement about my supposed 'misperception' speaks volumes about the office. My original post months ago was this: I will explain why I am giving only 1 star to this place. Asked me to be at my appointment by 8:00 for an 8:30 appointment. I work full time and took 2 hours sick time thinking 8:00 to 10:00 should be enough time for a glaucoma test. WRONG!!! 1. Filled out paperwork by 8:15 and waited until 9:15 to be called in and that was just the beginning of a BAD APPOINTMENT. 2. The guy (not the doctor) did the usual eye exam where they ask you to read a chart and some other diagnostics. Then he said "We are not going to be able to dilate your eyes because of..." and he used some terminology i didnt understand. He said please wait here for the doctor. 3. Waited 25 minutes and no doctor but he brings in another assistant to read his testing and tell him if he's correct. She said "Yeah, we wont be able to do dilation." Then she said please wait here for doctor. 4. 10:00 and no doctor. So I called work to tell them I would be late. They were not happy with me and Im furious at the office for doing this to me. 5. 10:15. Still no doctor so I get up and go in the lobby and ask why its taking so long. No answer. 10:30 an assistant came in and said he will be in a few minutes. 6. 10:45 and finally doctor walks in and says "So I understand you don't want to be dilated?" I was furious. I said "Your office staff told me I couldn't be dilated. Are you guys not communicating? " 7. Looks at my eyes and says I have to comeback in for more tests but it doesn't look like I have glaucoma. He said I would have to come back though to make sure and do a test. 8. 11:00 a.m I go out to lobby to book testing and I'm informed that the doctor told her my next appointment would be more testing and then a 3rd appointment would be glaucoma test. What the heck!!! No respect for time (was expecting to be out of there no later than 9:45 since appointment was for 8:30) and just stringing me along for more appointments to get 1 answer??? My husband went to Harvard eye institute and was seen in 1 hour for all the things I had done PLUS the glaucoma test. I will be going there instead of this crazy operation.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. George Saleeb and his staff. From the moment I walked in, everyone was warm, welcoming, and professional. The doctor took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the exam. The staff was just as kind and helpful, answering all my questions. I truly felt cared for and appreciated. I highly recommend this office if you're looking for an eye doctor who's not only knowledgeable but also genuinely kind.
