Acuity Eye Group - Westchester

This is for anyone who is in my shoes that was up for surgery and couldn't find reviews. I had a surgery scheduled but couldn't contact the surgery coordinator. I called everyday for a months, and the front desk was baffled how even after they themselves reached out to supervisors, I wasn't called. Eventually I had to reschedule my surgery sadly because they did not contact me. They apologized and had to reschedule me. I got the personal cell of the director of surgery , and explained to her the situation, and she reassured me someone would call this time, a week goes by nothing, and I call her back and she says "oh today they will" another week, and nothing. Eventually we are 2 weeks away AGAIN from my rescheduled surgery and not once did the "director Ms rivera" seem to care THAT no one would call after she swore someone will. The week following my appointment I called everyday to get my details and shoutout to the front desk who would push and push for someone to call me, but no one did, Ms Rivera never got back to me. Ignored my emails and texts , and should zero care in the quality of care she gives. Zero pride in her work. Eventually I had to pick up glasses at another location and the optometrist there told me, "if I was you, I would NOT have surgery" this company is a mess and very unprofessional. This is coming from someone working with acuity . Please be warned.Wasted a year of appointments and hour drives to see the doctor. I hope DR grant knows the people that work for him and he holds them accountable.

I've visited your Westchester branch in October 2024, their address is 8616 La Tijera Blvd #404, Los Angeles, CA 90045 I've never got my contact lens prescriptions. Never. You're such a terrible company. You suck. How hard could if be write a prescription? I have visited your two different brances before and each time I couldn't get contact prescriptions. Why do you accept patients if you can provide them? Both time they only gave glasses prescription which I didn't want or require.

I waited almost 3 months for my appointment only to show up an find out that the person had given me the wrong appointment date. The receptionist at the office was very rude about the whole thing not even offering an apology. When I told her that I wanted to cancel the appointment and was finding a different doctor, she just rolled her eyes and said that they don't need patients like me (neurodivergent) anyway. Horribly unprofessional incompetent, anti-neurodiversity staff!

Wednesday August 28, 2024. Immediately on entrance to the office, super, clean and bright. All the Acuity Eye Group staff was So professional and courteous, helpful and wonderful asking questions, with knowledgeable answers. Dr. Chen great. Myself highly recommend them as a provider for eye health care. I received courtesy eye glass holders at no charge from the optical department. I'm very Thankful for everyone, today. I like how the staff is organized. One checks your eyes and glasses then prepare you to see the doctor. They treat everyone with patience. The office is clean and customer service skills are used. I will return later for my next check up.

Dr. Grant was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful in addressing my double vision concerns, making the three-hour round trip completely worthwhile. However, the office visit had a few areas that could use improvement. My appointment was scheduled right in the middle of their lunch hour, which meant waiting in the hallway for a while before being let in--a slightly inconvenient experience. Additionally, there were a few aspects of office management and client service that could benefit from more attention to enhance the overall experience.

I was able to get a last minute appointment here for my ongoing eye infection. I was so desperate to find an optomologist that could squeeze me in and they did it! Aside from that the staff is very friendly and efficient. Dr Chen has a great bedside manner, he listened to my concerns, took some exams to make sure there weren't any underlying problems but most importantly, he was compassionate. I will be referring my friends and family here.

Wow, my experience was so delightful, so impressed with all the staff from Medical Assistant to Dr., to Lens Tech, whom was especially patient and such a joy. I will surely come back, again and again! God willing. Thank you everyone for making me feel so welcomed, I will surely tell others what a joy you all were!!!
