OK, so going to the eye doctor can be a chore. Heck I drive 30 miles to see Dr. Nuyen. It's a worthwhile 30 miles. I just had cataract surgery. Got to the surgery center. The wait was 20 minutes, yes, just 20 minutes! Onto the gurney, shot in the arm, chat with Dr, Nuyen, wake up and I'm off. Maybe 15 minutes and there is her smiling face making sure I'm OK. You know, it's a rare experience to get this kind of treatment, especially in 2026. So, reader, if you are looking for a new eye doctor please do yourself a favor and choose Dr. Nuyen. You will be happy!!

Dr. Nuyen is caring, compassionate and competent. I highly recommend her healing approach, especially to those of us who are dealing with serious ocular issues. She's a blessing to her patients.

Dr. Nuyen managed to solve what no one else did. My eyes were itching and swelling intermittently for months. I went to my optometrist, who referred me to an ophthalmologist, who told me to test for allergies. No help. I went to another ophthalmologist, got an ointment prescribed, but it didn't do much of anything. Ultimately I was getting no helpful answers, no solutions, no relief. Then I found Dr. Nuyen. Finally! She diagnosed my issue straightaway. I have MGD. There is no definitive cure for it but, Dr. Nuyen opened the door to a treatment plan that allows me to manage it. Phew! My symptoms have been alleviated and my eyes aren't so troublesome or unpredictable anymore. Thanks for helping, Dr. Nuyen. Thanks also for creating a safe, trustworthy space. Anyone out there looking for an excellent ophthalmologist, I recommend Dr. Nuyen point-blank-period.

Dr Nuyen was the best doctor I've ever seen. I have not had a good experience getting my eyes checked. She was patient, thorough, funny, relaxed, and ensured I had the needed exam. I would recommend her to everyone.

I've been seeing Dr. Sacks for years, and he is fantastic. But on my last couple of visits to California Eye Medical, I wound up seeing his new associate Dr. Nuyen - and she is equally fantastic! She's got a warm and lovely bedside manner, made me feel calm and comfortable, and she's very caring. And she's extremely knowledgeable, so I trusted her implicitly. A 10 out of 10, highly recommend!
