I had a really bad experience at this practice. First, I had the practice 3 times over the phone: i) to book ii) to check if there was no other appointment that got cancelled so I could move mine up and iii) to confirm my appointment. Staff is not very nice over the phone and hang up before they can say goodbye. Also, not a single time I was told to bring my previous prescription - which I quote dr. Brodney "would make my job easier". I didn't have my previous prescription with me so dr. Brodney said he couldn't give me a prescription. Because he needs the old one. ????????? Dr. Brodney was impatient and showed a lack of professionalism that was staggering. Probably time to retire. Judy, from staff was not helpful at all.

Dr. Brodney is the best eye doctor. His office is clean, quiet, and very professional. The office staff are friendly and welcoming. I have been going to him for more then 10 years and he has always given me the best care and advice. I highly recommend his services.

Dr Brodney is a great optometrist! I came to him with a challenging situation involving the transition from orthodox-K lenses to laser surgery and he did a great job figuring it out. On site parking is easy. Highly recommend.

The doctors are good. Eye exams are very thorough. Support staff are less helpful. I requested a receipt to be mailed to me, but never received. So I requested it to be faxed to me, still not received. So I had to personally go over again and pick it up. Also, their lenses / frames are very over-priced if your insurance doesn't cover.

This is my first Google review; I write it because this optometry is definitely the worst I've ever been and in the hope that they could improve their quality so that no other customer would experience the things that I experienced there: 1) The frame of my previous glass got broken, so I decided to get a new one. I got my eye checked, and ordered a completely new pair, but when I got the glass, I wasn't able to see my desktop clearly with my right eye. So I had to make an appointment to re-do the exam, and turned out that doctor got the prescription wrong in the first exam. It was astonishing and never heard of in my whole life! 2) The administrator there was very careless too -- I asked to get an itemized receipt for the purpose of FSA reporting. The first time I got the bill, both my name and address were wrong. So when I got my new pair in the office, I asked her to correct it -- and I corrected both places in the bill. A day or two later when I got the new bill, my name was corrected but not my address, and I had to asked her again. 3) Apart from the prescription issue, the glass is of very low quality. I could see very clear double images through the lens, which I've never seen in my other glasses (or my wife's glasses) over the past ~20 years. I brought it up to them when they re-did the glass, the doctor said it was definitely an issue that they need to fix. However, when I got the new pair, it's still there! After I showed the issue to the lady (meaning they didn't really check it), she said it's probably because I didn't add anti-reflection, which tbh I didn't quite believe, since I don't think I added that option in (some of) my older glasses either. In any case at that point I already gave up and decided not to bother arguing with them. 4) They seem to have all kinds of charges that I've never heard of either (not sure if it's unique to LA though), e.g., they told me that there is a cancellation fee of $50 when I called to make an appointment (I didn't cancel the appointment so it didn't occur to me, but I was just surprised); my frame was very standard half-rim (on the upper part) and yet they would charge me $20 to brush the edge. 5) They don't have a good collection of frames. E.g., I couldn't find a decent half-rim frame with titanium and had to go with a metal one. It took me about a month with 4 office visits to get the pair of glass that is far from satisfaction. So don't waste your time/energy/money here -- until they improve.

I have been going to Dr. Brodney for over 20 years and recommend him wholeheartedly. Every experience over all these years has been positive.

He helped figure out my dizziness when using a computer after a small stroke. SO glad, I can work for more than 15 minutes at a time again!

Very thorough and helpful. Not a five star because of pricey frames
