Costco Optical Department

I was disappointed with my visit with Dr. Dianna Kattengell. I have astigmatism and have previously worn astigmatism contacts. During my exam, I shared concerns about my night vision while driving. She said my astigmatism was "not enough" and explained that testing for astigmatism and prescribing those contacts would cost more. I had not mentioned cost as a concern, so I felt confused about why price was part of the reasoning. When I asked how much more expensive it would be, she said she does not handle pricing and that I would need to ask the receptionist. There was also a moment when she asked me to throw away a contact lens container. When she returned, she pointed toward the sink, which made me feel as though I had done something wrong, even though I believed I had followed her instructions. She asked which contact lens was better. I said the first one felt better to me, and she responded, "No, this one is better," without much explanation. I found it frustrating to be asked for my opinion and then immediately corrected without a clear discussion. Overall, the appointment felt rushed, and at times her tone felt dismissive to me. I did not feel fully heard and would have appreciated clearer communication and a more collaborative discussion about my prescription options, as I personally feel that astigmatism contacts work better and safer for me as I did brought up my concern with the night driving.I believe doctors should carefully consider patient concerns to ensure safety, and in this case, I did not feel that my concerns were adequately addressed.

These glasses, I don't know what they put on those glasses materials, but this is the second frame I got from this place and I have allergy dermatitis as you all can see this is not acceptable frames here feel very cheap and causing these types of reactions

Ordered contacts online through Costco. Costco reached out to this office to verify my prescription and they never responded to the request. Costco proceeded to charge me and ship the contacts to me, although the prescription was 1.5 years old. Other providers allow contact lens prescriptions stay valid for up to two years, but this location is money driven and will label their inability to help as preventing a liability. Stay away from this office. You can order contacts through 1800 contacts with price matching and they will actually accommodate their patients without trying to milk them for eye exams. AND it will only take you two days to get them instead of Costco who took two weeks.

Do no go here, went there my exam took less than a minute. have been wearing the same prescription for 2 years with no issues. During my recent exam here, I was told I have 20/20 vision and given a very different prescription after a 1-minute exam. This is a drastic change from my documented prescription history and raises concern about the accuracy of the exam. I would like a full refund and for this matter to be reviewed. TERRIBLE PLACE!

I've never been treated so poorly/rudely in my life. I needed some contact samples as I ran out and wasn't able to order them as a result of losing my father to stage 4 cancer this past month, and having to work 13 days Mon-Fri and then flying home on weekends to arrange the funeral and be with family. I communicated this to the receptionist who has always been very rude to me, and she literally accosted me in front of other customers while the doctor hid in one of the offices, for asking for samples. Absolutely horrible cusotmer service and zero compassion for something that was already hard for me to bring up. I will never be going back and I'm switching back to Lenscrafters where the customers service is top notch.

Absolutely worst customer service ever!!! The optician Dr. Dianna Kattengell has the worst attitude ever, won't let a patient finish their sentence. Have never experienced such a horrible clinic. They seem super unhappy to be there or super annoyed. Please get a new job if you will be treating patients like this.

They're rude and give poor customer service. They don't pick up the phone either so good luck trying to enquire about pricing for anything.
