Dr Joseph's Eye Medical Clinic

The worst experience I had in my life. Two hours wait, incompetent staff, ugly building, ugly premises, a third-world environment, $80 for a five-minute consultation when I had good insurance. All patients were from Armenia, El Salvador and Guatemala, so they do not read these reviews. They should.

Dr Joe knows his stuff. The office is reminiscent of old school Hollywood noir. I personally love that. I see some people in the comments don't like it so much. But I love it. If you're sitting in the office and you start to think that it's a funky place, look up on the walls at the top...... At all of Dr Joe's awards accommodations, degrees as an eye doctor. This man knows what he's talking about. The objective of the office is to help patients Yes you may wait a while sometimes because there are so many people that love to come to him; but you will be getting top-notch eye care. I've been to several eye doctors in l.a, and even more in my lifetime-- this man honestly has been the best.. Yes it's a quirky office, yes the staff is quirky, yes the doctor is quirky.....Again I personally like that;but I get some people won't -- yes you may have to ask for clarification sometimes on what your diagnosis is and what the doctor is doing-- But if your objective is to have the best eye care possible this is your man.

This place is very disorganized. There doesn't seem to be any kind of system for patient sign in, patient outreach, patient info or clinic app reminders besides an old crumpled composition book. In the 3 hours I've been here, several people have complained multiple times about appointments, referals, and a lack of communication. All while waiting for a 1 hour eye exam that's taken over 3 hours to do.

awful experience. tried to be new patient here. front desk is terrible... scheduled for 1:30... arrived to be told doc was still in surgery. but had patients waiting to see him from as early as 11:30 whom haven't been seen yet. why'd no one call me to push back the appt..? told to wait over a hour and a half to possibly two hours lol wow... so this takes a full two hours to finally be seen. mind you this was for a possible eye ulcer (ophthalmology emergency) so i'm ready to complain to the doc how the front desk is awful and he 's probably losing business. turns out it's probably this guys fault. idk if it's me or just him but he seemed very slow moving, as if he barely heard what i was saying, he was quite old but maybe his clients like him, who knows. still i realized i couldn't tell him what was going on cause it would go in one ear out the other. no wonder... good luck to this place and it's patients. definitely not going back.

Had an appointment at 2pm, when I arrived there was only 2 patients, those two patients have left, doctor keeps seeing patients that got here after us, I ask what's taking so long and all they can tell me is they don't know what's going on. It is now 4:01pm and they still don't know what's going on. Horrible service and place reeks of cigarettes

Packed, 2+ hour wait time, 3 ppl in exam rooms, antiquated equipment. Horrible experience. 2min of the doctor actually with you and didn't diagnosis me properly went somewhere else for a second opinion and my eye's better now.

I didn't like this place at all terrible service, I got here at 1 pm and they see my mother at 4 pm the doctor is rude it's suffocating here with the dry air I don't recommend comeing here

I have been bringing my family to Dr. Joseph for almost 8 years and cannot thank him enough for his generosity.
