Dr. Mitra Nejad, MD - UCLA LASIK & Cataract Surgery

Cataract surgery with Dr. Nejad was top-rate. When I was told by an optometrist that I would need cataract surgery, I wasn't sure where to turn. I like to do a lot of research, and at times, wanted to put this off as long as possible. I selected Jules Stein Institute, UCLA and I am so glad that I did. Dr. Nejad and her team took extra care explain all of the lens available. If you're not familiar with modern cataract surgery, there are some excellent, state-of-the-art options available at JSI. After a consult, we decided on a perfect fit for me! Soon after, Dr. Nejad performed surgery on both eyes, and in my case, a couple of months apart, to accommodate my schedule. I couldn't be more pleased. I was expecting a modest/moderate improvement in my vision, but the result was far beyond my expectations...clarity, proper color saturation everything! The surgery itself was painless....and the medical team was with me every step of the way. Dr. Nejad and her team really take care of their patients. In hindsight, I would've done this sooner. Very happy and forever grateful...If you are considering cataract surgery, I strongly recommend Dr. Nejad. You'll be glad you did.

I'm very happy with the results of my cataract surgery with Dr. Nejad. She was very thorough in explaining all of the options and steps involved. I chose the highly accurate laser surgery and single focal lenses and am glad I did.

LASIK surgery with Dr. Nejad was smooth and seamless. She and her UCLA team were thorough with information and explaining the process. Despite being nervous during the procedure, Dr. Nejad kept me calm by talking through each step and checking in. My husband highly recommended her after his procedure, and I can happily do the same.

I had a perfect LASIK experience with Dr. Nejad! I had a very strong astigmatism and difficult prescription, and wore glasses my entire life prior to LASIK. I just had cataract surgery on both eyes in the last two weeks with Dr. Nijad, and she did the same surgery on my husband four years ago. The whole procedure is extremely well organized and Dr. Nijad is attentive, skilled, patient and compassionate -- excellent in every way. She spends the time needed to answer all questions, explains every step of the way -- during surgery -- and makes sure you are comfortable throughout. The results are spectacular. My vision is better than perfect now, the views haven't looked so clear and colorful in years.

I would highly recommend Dr. Nijad. She is professional, kind and efficient and the surgery and post op went smoothly. Dr. Nijad spent time with me to review the surgery in detail which made me feel very comfortable with her and the staff. They truly care about their patients at UCLA Stein Center. Dr. Nejad was my doctor for LASIK at UCLA and she did an amazing job! Made me feel very comfortable prior, during and after the procedure. On the day of surgery, she walked me through the entire process as it was happening and made me feel like I was in great hands. It is now 1 year after my procedure, and I just had my final post op check in. My vision has settled at 20/15, and it's been a gamechanger. I'm so glad I went to Dr. Nejad for LASIK.

Dr. Nejad performed my LASIK eye surgery and I could not even begin to describe how amazing the results are!!! I was very nervous and anxious prior to the surgery, but Dr. Nejad easily calmed me down. During the surgery, she explained the entire thing so I knew what was happening (and providing countdowns as to how much time the lasers had left). She has greatly improved my quality of life -- having worn glasses since the sixth grade, it is a feeling of immense joy to wake up every morning with perfect vision!
