Eye Martin Optometry

I've always been treated very well here. I work at UCLA and they take my vision insurance. Dr. Hyman is a class act and pretty funny in the exam. They have a good selection of styles and I've never had to pay extra out of pocket because of insurance coverage. He also never gives me a hard time when I ask for a written prescription so I can order a few backup pairs online (I'm hard on glasses and break/lose them a lot). Overall, they are friendly, efficient, professional, clean, and they don't pressure you if you don't want to pay for extras.

I've been going to Westwood Optometric for over 20 years. Dr. Hyman is great! He's always been very friendly and knowledgeable. His staff is helpful in picking out frames, and figuring out how the insurance would work best for the various contacts and/or glasses that you want to buy. I would highly recommend Dr. Hyman. He does charge a bit higher than other places, but I like the convenience of the location, and he's been great for every time I see him.

I have been a client for nearly two decades. Dr. Hyman is smart, caring, and pleasant to be with. The quality of the work done in the shop has been excellent. They staff are extremely accommodating and handle otherwise annoying issues such as insurance in the most hassle-free manner that I could imagine. My only issue is that the in-store selection of frames could be larger, but they will happily order for you.

After 27 years with Dr. Hyman, I can tell you that he's an excellent optometrist. He's very professional, friendly, his exams thorough, his diagnoses always spot on, and he will spend the time necessary to find your best vision solution whether glasses, contacts or both. At my request he monitored my cataracts for years, and when I realized I needed cataract surgery, he referred me to the best surgeon in the field and performed my follow-up exams. On each eye, I went from dangerous-to-drive vision, to near perfect vision uncorrected, and better than 20/20 with Dr. Hyman's fine-tuning prescriptions. All of this explains why I drive 2 to 3 hours round trip to his office, in LA traffic, when there's an optometrist about a quarter mile from my house. He's definitely worth the drive.

I have been going to Dr. Hyman for several years. He will work with you to give you exactly what you need and make recommendations and suggestions. He is very knowledgeable about insurance coverage. He and his staff are very friendly. They are wonderful in helping me pick my frames which is a chore for me and a task I do not like doing. I highly recommend Westwood Optometric Center in Westood

Great optometrist (Dr. Martin), great staff, great service, great equipment, great exam, great prescription, great fitting, great progressive lenses and great frames. The best fitting I've ever had (this was about my 10th pair of glasses). I paid the going price, which was expensive but worth it. I highly recommend Dr Martin.

I've been a customer since high school. Dr. Hyman and his staff have always provided me with great service and lenses through the years. Playing baseball and golf over the past 20 years, I'm confident I can hit and see that ball without my contact lenses falling out. Thanks!!

Love the doctor, the staff and the selection of frames, but the cost of lenses is pretty pricey. I'd definitely come back for my exams w this doctor.. Not too sure I'd get my frames n especially not my lenses done by them.
