Not the greatest experience. They tell themselves as I wear experts, but often times I found in the past year and a half the communication over the phone is somewhat unhelpful and can be misleading.
One of the main problems is the language and culture barrier, because this place is located firmly in the deep part of Koreatown And the nationality is a big factor in the company.
There's really only one person on their staff who speaks clear English, so you have to pray that when you call, that after the 45 minutes to an hour in traffic to get to the main location on Vermont Avenue, that they are in the house.
If not, you're in for a lot of confused books and long pauses as they try to translate what you're asking.
They do carry an enormous inventory from kinds of companies and brands.
The actual lens lab is directly next door, so in theory the order turnaround SHOULD will be relatively quick.
Pricing is OK, one nice thing that they do is for loyal return customers is offering in-store 20% discount so that even if you don't have a good Health Insurance, you're getting some relief on the pricing.

Incredible, i've been going there since that I came from cuba twenty three years ago i star seen Mathias, amazing And. Hector Matthias is no longer there by Hector is they're very sweet professional. They give ideas the best glasses, lentes, that's my place to go when I want to buy glasses.I bought so many that I don't have the count They give you their opinion, the best prizes. Ever the best attention go with Hector amazing, you will not regret it. He's a sweet heart
Worst service ever, rude Korean people and also tried to scam me. I walked in and got explained by the Korean man that I can't use my insurance to do eyeglasses and contact lens at the same time, I have to choose. I told him my insurance covers both and I used it together in the past years. He complained me in Korean loudly with the other staff and had someone checked my insurance and told me I can't use it. I walked out, got to another clinic and called the insurance, they all confirmed my insurance covers everything at the same time including eye exam, contact lens exam, glasses and contact lens. I wonder how you survived the business by trying to give wrongful information to customers or just Korean people believe them and go there. I don't want to discriminate but the treatment I received especially when they complained in Korean
was offense even though I'm Asian. And I understand some Koreans so I understand what they spoke in Korean in front of me. I was lucky to be there only for 5 minutes and decided to walk out not to let them ruin my day.
Used to buy my glasses at Lenscrafters until one of my glasses broke while I was wearing it. I saw that it was very cheaply made. Decided to try Italee because my friend recommended this place. They have a great selection of Premium glasses and sunglasses. They are not cheap though. I bought the Japanese Kawasaki rimless. They are the best. Very durable, lightweight and comfortable. Ask for Hector, he always gives me excellent service.
My recent visit to Italee Optometric Center exceeded all expectations. I went in for an annual eye checkup and was impressed by the professionalism and expertise of the staff. The optometrist conducted a thorough examination, addressing all my concerns and providing valuable insights into my eye health. The quality of service was outstanding, and I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability. Italee Optometric Center truly offers top-quality care and unbeatable value.
I've been a customer here for 8+ years. I've worked with Kenny all those years and some with a past seller Jonathan both very kind. I am not korean, but I know my budget and honestly I know my prescription well. I've done contacts here as well and the optometrist always explains if there will be some differences variations with the contact lenses. Their lenses last many years I actually do my lenses quite often due to being a Healthcare worker patients have snatched my glasses. Kenny fixes them no charge it's a nice place but understand that it's their job to hang around you because they need to clean any lenses you touch due to bacteria and now covid. I actually got used to it. It's the same if you go to a high end store like LV etc a sales staff hangs around you as well. I tell Kenny what I'm looking for and he makes suggestions I tell them my budget and they are cool to work with it. My friends have shopped here as well all nationalities no issues. Just know lenses aren't cheap so I'm always ready with a budget to pay specially if I want some very nice frames and lens that are computer friendly. I rather come here than lens crafters now they ripped me off before.
First time I went was to see how much to replace the rubber accessories on my Kazuo Kawasaki frames, I bought them from another store. Cost nothing, they took them, adjusted them and replaced the rubber accessories. Now I came in to have new lenses made, the sales person showed me the options but did not try to oversell, he asked what I would use them for and didn't recommend the overly expensive options, though I did choose a couple like the scratch resistant coatings and transitions that were top of the line. They were honest and recommended the best choices for what I do, not what would make them the most money.
Hector is the best. He patiently helped me choose the best fitting glasses for myself. He knew what type of glasses do and don't fit well with my face shape. The prices are good as well, and they give you a one year warranty. I have been buying my prescription and non prescription glasses from here for over 5 years.
