I am writing this review based on my personal experience as a patient of Dr. Jonathan I. Macy over the course of approximately two years.Unfortunately, my overall experience has been disappointing. I found that Dr. Macy often seemed more focused on upselling services and products than on thorough, patient-centered care. Appointments felt rushed; he rarely allowed enough time to fully address my questions or concerns, and I left many visits feeling unheard and unattended to.The same rushed and sales-oriented approach appeared to extend to the front desk staff. On multiple occasions, disposable post-dilation sunglasses (the inexpensive temporary ones provided after eye dilation) were added to my bill--typically around $15--without clearly informing me or asking for consent. Even more concerning, I was once sold prescription eyeglasses for over $200 that turned out to be of noticeably lower quality than pairs I already owned at home.While the office is professional in appearance, these experiences left me feeling that financial gain was prioritized over genuine medical care and transparency.

The last 2-months of horrible discomfort and impending concern have been extinguished upon my 1st exam truly showing Dr. Macy is the HIGHEST DEGREE OF RENOWNED DRS. I've chosen and being treated by, with a staff you'll LOVE the minute you check in.

Dr. Macy is a great doctor. He's been my family's eye doctor for decades. He's taken good care of my entire family. My Grandmother loved him and she rarely liked any doctors but he has such a wonderful manner and is so intelligent and caring that it was impossible for her not to adore him. I highly recommend him.

Bad service . He wasn't focused on health vision. Rather on money and classism

The receptionist and Spike who prepared me to see the doctor were welcoming. Dr. Macy was professional, friendly and thorough.

I saw Dr Macy recently and he was terrific. He was very professional and patient and answered my questions. His staff is wonderful too and I would recommend Dr. Macy and his office to anyone seeking his specialty. I saw him for a cataract evaluation.

I am very disappointed with Dr. Jonathan I. Macy, MD. He clearly does not like working with elderly patients. He spends very little time during appointments and rushes through everything. The last time, instead of seeing me himself, he sent an assistant without any explanation. My cataract surgery was also unsuccessful. Dr. Macy never warned me about the film on the eye that would need to be removed after the operation, nor did he mention that I would need treatment for glaucoma. On top of that, the office tried to charge me extra even though I have Medicare, which should cover everything.I will not return and cannot recommend him.
