AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! Dr Kurata is the best eye doctor that I've ever been to. He was very thorough, took his time and did all the necessary tests that were needed. He even did some visual tests that I had never previously seen, which really means that he cares about his patients and the people coming in to his business. I would highly recommend coming here, I have been looking for a good optometrist for a long time. Thank you for being awesome :)

Wow! What a wonderful experience. I've worn glasses since age 7 an now in my late 50's I've finally found the perfect location. Not only is arranging an appointment a snap (on the Internet) but the office is quite charming and they provide free snacks and excellent coffee ;-) I found the staff to be pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. Last, but in no way least, I was extremely impressed with Dr. She provided an excellent exam, answer all my questions and made suggestion based on my exam not on the hope of a sale. They've made a customer for life.

Weird vibes from Dr. Kurata. He talked down towards me when I was just politely asking normal follow-up questions as to why he was weakening my contact prescription. Additionally, the contact lens fitting fee was something I did not anticipate as I have never been charged one at my previous eye doctors. He then condescendingly talked down on my previous doctors for not doing things the same way he does. I kind of went here out of convenience but should have probably thought twice.

Yes! Kurata Eyecare Center is amazing. They gave me a completely thorough and professional exam and the doctor even emailed me right after to follow up on a small question I had about my contacts. But the best thing about their operation is how comfortable they make you feel. You walk in and they offer you coffee, biscotti, candy.... and everyone working there is friendly and easy to talk to. They also have some pretty sweet frames. I will definitely be coming back.

Terrible if you're looking for a seamless experience or quality customer service. This place was recommended by a friend and I took an appointment one week in advance. On the day of the appointment I had an emergency and was running 15min late. Rather than rushing and going for no reason I called to apologize and confirm that was fine. I was told it wasn't an issue. I rushed, showed up shortly after, put money in the parking meter to be told at the door that no, in fact, 15min is too late. Needless to say they lost my business. Very poor customer service and did not even apologize... I highly recommend Dr. Cecilia Perez in DTLA. Great experience there: they had availability (not within a week), were very professional, competent and have affordable rates.

My wife and I have been coming to this office for over a decade now. Nothing spectacular about the place other than it being in a convenient location. We should have stopped coming here years ago. First of all, they are very expensive. Some of the people there are smug. Finally, even after having been a loyal patient for a long time, they wouldn't accommodate to my current predicament. I wanted to order additional contacts without them charging me out of my pocket for a "contact fitting". Reason being, as i explained to them, I am currently unemployed and my wife's insurance only covers an exam. I asked that they delay this until I am once again in a better financial situation. Even after demonstrating over a decade of loyalty to them, they couldn't do me this one favor. Im terribly disappointed and I will never return again. i do share some blame. Even after years of subpar care and high prices I should have stopped going years ago. Anyway, good luck with these people.

Was looking for a new optometrist near home after 20yrs since my last check up. The initial consultation was efficient and productive with Dr Chin. She was straightforward and answered all my questions in detail showing transparency.
