The office is really nice. There's also an eye vision store in the office, which makes it probably easier for Patients to get their eyeglass prescription prescriptions filled. I was there because my doctor had made an appointment for me to get my eye. That was three weeks old looked at and drained by this team and I was seen for all of like five minutes and told to come back in three weeks remind you I'm getting married and we're taking photos and I expressed that to my doctor and if there's anything you do, I was already doing the warm compress. I was already doing everything what my doctor recommended and taking antibiotics but I wanted was relief. The visit was super quick though he was very nice I wish he would explained more and at the end it was $60 co-pay. I wish it was communicated to me clearer from this office that he would probably not remove the stye because he has a three week rule of thumb and then will save me a trip over there and $60 co-pay, etc. etc. But it's fine. And I have learned more about how to take care of the stye To really resolve it and make sure that it is treated responsibly so at least I appreciate that about him in his office. I guess that's more about what I wanted to have done versus like what is like the best way to treat the stye in my eye.
Cataract surgery by Dr Macy was an excellent experience. Had prior cataract surgery 2 yrs prior by different surgeon. Dr Macy and his staff are exceptional-
From the vision outcome ( thank you Dr Macy for your skillful technique and years of expertise) to the beginning with Andrea the surgery scheduler. Post op instructions for eye drops was thorough. I recommend Dr Macy for your vision care. He and team are outstanding
I had a very disappointing experience with this office.
Two weeks ago I contacted them, provided my insurance information, and they confirmed that my insurance was accepted and that the doctor was a provider.
Based on this confirmation, I scheduled today's appointment and spent about 20 minutes filling out their intake forms.
However, at the time of the appointment, they first told me my insurance was invalid, then changed their explanation and said they were not a provider after all -- contradicting what they had told me previously.
Because of this miscommunication and lack of organization, I lost valuable time and two weeks of care. I find this process unprofessional and frustrating for patients who rely on accurate information to receive medical attention.
I cannot recommend this office and suggest patients verify everything carefully before booking.
I saw Dr. Alexander Knezevic MD ,
For the first time after not having been examined by any eye doctor after having my cataract surgery five years ago.
I was very pleased that his office arranged for my appointment within a few days. I was concerned about my eye house after not having any eye examination for five years.
His office was clean and neat with Very efficient staff
The only thing I would suggest is to "make sure "that your current Medicare card or insurance card is up-to-date because when I arrived at Dt knezevic office , , I didn't realize that Medicare had sent me a new card that got lost in the mail, that had a new Medicare number
I had to wait 20 minutes before I reached an operator that could give me my new Medicare number over the phone, to facilitate my being seen by this medical office.
I was unaware that there was a lot of Medicare card insurance scams during the pandemic that created a need for our government to reissue new Medicare cards with new numbers to all participants
My exam was very efficient and thorough.
My vision was tested, eyes thoroughly examined , and evaluated by Dr Alexander Knezevic MD
I highly recommend the Los Angeles Vision Institute for your eye care and vision needs !
Dr. Macy permanently damaged my right eye.
I am an artist and photographer, so my vision is not just important -- it is essential to my profession. I initially sought evaluation for possible narrow angles. My eye pressure is 11 mmHg in both eyes, well within the normal range.
Despite this, Dr. Macy insisted I urgently needed laser iridotomy in both eyes. Trusting his recommendation, I proceeded with the right eye first.
The result was immediate and permanent: I now see a constant, bright light/glare in the inner corner of my right eye. Months later, there has been no improvement. I later learned the laser opening was placed in the wrong location, not hidden under the upper eyelid as standard practice, but in a position that allows light to enter my visual field.
The only proposed "solutions" are corrective suture surgery or wearing special contact lenses indefinitely.
After refusing treatment on my left eye, I sought further opinions and was told no intervention was needed at all, directly contradicting Dr. Macy's diagnosis. I am extremely grateful I did not let him touch my healthy eye.
What was presented as urgent and routine has left me with permanent visual damage, profoundly affecting both my daily life and my work. I deeply regret ever walking into Dr. Macy's clinic and strongly urge others to seek multiple opinions before consenting to irreversible eye procedures.
Hello everybody, where do I start? I know where I'll start with Doctor Macy being a Mench. I just had surgery this last Thursday. I was so relaxed. The surgery went fantastic. I didn't feel a thing there was such good energy healing, relaxing at the surgical facility. Needless to say Doctor Macy is the best so compassionate so professional. I've already recommended him to three girlfriends or actually going to Upgrade their insurance so that they can Be seen by him, next day of surgery early morning went back to Doctor Macy's office on third Street and was told that my eyesight is already excellent. I couldn't recommend a better doctor cause I don't know better one so guys enjoy you are in the best hands ever!!!!! all the best.
Dr Knezevic is a wonderful ophthalmologist! He was recommended by my rheumatologist for help with an eye condition and I've had a great experience in the appointments I've had with him so far. The doctor has a very kind, gentle, and calming demeanor. The folks at the front desk and the medical assistants/techs are also lovely, and it's convenient to be able to get glasses from this office too.
Dr.Macy has been my ophthalmologist for many years. Finally, it was time to get cataracts removed. Very grateful he was my surgeon. Total success, would highly recommend him without any hesitation.
