Melamed Eye Care Optometry

I trust Dr. Melamed with my eyes! He is proficient, transparent, and professional. Front desk is friendly and efficient. Easy parking as well.

Was in need of new glasses and contacts as it's been over a year since my previous exam. Met Dr. Melamed's friendly staff who quickly checked me in and ran my insurance easily. Once I was all set I met Dr. and he took care of all my needs as I desperately needed a new prescription. He even gave me a trial pair of contacts which I love. The office has a nice frame selection as well! Can't wait for my next eye visit.

This is the most thorough eye examination I have experienced (and I have been very short-sighted since a young age, almost 40 years old and have lived in the U.K. as well as here in the U.S.!). The office is a very pleasant environment, front desk staff are friendly and helpful and I really cannot fault Dr. Melamed. He is such a nice guy who clearly cares about his patients and does an excellent job at explaining all aspects of the examination, as well as options available etc. He is relaxed and friendly, never rushes you if you have questions, and is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate in recommending him to others.

Wonderful experience. Easily booked an appt via text, was seen promptly on time, and the exam was quick and efficient. The team was very knowledgeable and helped me find the right option for contact lens, and took an extra moment to review my optical insurance with me. 5 stars.

Can't say enough about the service and consideration of the staff at Melamed. I had to re-route a trip to come to LA for a family member's surgery. My toiletries, including my glasses and contacts, were in my checked bag that continued on to my original destination. I had one pair of contacts (dailies) and I was wearing them. I searched for optometrists by my brother's house in West Hollywood and came upon Melamed. I emailed them my prescription (legally blind and an astigmatism), and within several minutes they called back saying they had some contacts matching my prescription in stock. I walked a few blocks to the office and was greeted by a wonderful receptionist. When she handed me a 5-pack for each eye and said there wouldn't be a charge, I was floored. I tried to pay, and they said they were just glad they could help. They knew I was a little frazzled with the change in travel and my brother's surgery. Regardless, they went above and beyond what was expected. If I lived in the area, I would love to find a optometrist or any business that would treat a total stranger like this. Amazing guest service. I recommend other's to support this business. They obviously care about the community around them. Thank you, Melamed!

Good practice. I went in as a new patient with eye strain (old glasses had too much magnification) and they lowered magnification a lot and instead adjusted other measurements. I went in again after a few weeks to get a slight re-adjustment and they were very nice about it. My new prescription feels much more comfortable! I also appreciated how clear they were about what would or would not be covered by insurance.

I've seen Dr Melamed a few times for my vision exams and contact lenses. He's super informative and has excellent bed-side manner. It's definitely the best experience I've ever had at an optometrist before. Thanks Dr. Fouad!

Excellent optometrist. They take great care in ensuring the office and exam are clean for COVID prevention purposes. Great communication and flexibility. Dr. Melamed will ensure you walk out the door with what'll be best for you. Recommended.
