REALLY SLOW, terrible experience, will not come again. I waited 45 MINUTES for an annual eye exam, despite arriving on time for my appointment.
The staff there made some quite inappropriate comments:
1. Chatting with the front desk (older white female) about vacations, she said and I quote: "Hawaii is fun as long as you're not white, they discriminate against white people there".
2. The staff member Michael (older white male) helped me pick a frame. Unprompted, he asked me about my ethnicity. I have explicitly said that my budget was around $200, and therefore he suggested Rayban. However, the Rayban I picked out turned out to be $469, so I said that it was above my budget, and he joked I should "just find a rich boyfriend and have him pay for it".
I stopped in here on a Saturday wanting to get a new pair of glasses. Let me start by saying they have a beautiful store with a great selection. Past that, the service was beyond horrible. There were two sales people and they seemed less than interested in helping me. There were not that many customers, but in the entirety of my time there, not one staff member even acknowledged my presence. People that arrived after I did were helped before me. Ultimately, after waiting for over 30 minutes, I left without ever speaking to anyone who worked there. Obviously my business was not at all important to them. I'd highly urge you to shop elsewhere for your eye care needs, as this establishment seems to not be interested in helping their customers with anywhere close to the service one would expect with the prices and brands they represent.
Hello everyone the place was very clean big variety of glasses. The service was fantastic. I was seen within a few minutes of my appointment. The doctor was professional so was the front extremely happy just received Both spares today within two weeks of my appointment absolutely wonderful place. I recommend it to everybody. Enjoy much love to everyone.
Huge selection of frames with brands like Gucci, Vera Wang, DG, etc. We shopped around at 3:30 pm on a Saturday, no appointment necessary. Only one or two more customers were there too.
A polite store clerk then helped pull frames I was interested in trying and we quickly found a pair I love. He took my insurance and my glasses were ordered within 20 minutes. I'll be back in ~1.5 weeks to get them.
Overall surprisingly impressive selection of frames and an easy shopping experience. I recommend checking them out.
I came here yesterday for the 1st time now that I have new insurance thru work. The inside isn't what I expected. It's not a sterile, cold office environment like I expect with every doctor's office. It feels like if a decent, comfy hotel had a baby with a doctor's break room. It's nice!
I was well taken care of by the staff immediately as well. I don't think you should believe other reviews about not being helped. I was approached and welcomed immediately & directed to a luxurious sitting room to fill out my paperwork and have some water if I wanted. If you're not being helped, quit being anxious or entitled, make your voice heard to the busy staff, and ask. Everyone was really polite & down to earth as well. I felt like I was treated like a friend.
So long as I have this insurance I will definitely keep coming here whenever I need an appointment.
Optometric Options is a great place to visit and to get your eyes checked and purchase some great glasses. Enjoyed my visit, the eye exam was simple and purchasing my glasses was a big gift for me since I have never seen so many glasses in different sizes and colors, etc. The employees are very friendly/helpful. :) Hard workers they are, always making everyone's visit great. :)
I had already gotten an eye exam at another optometrist and specifically came here to purchase sunglasses because of their great selection.
When I came to the front desk a gentleman said that someone would help me as soon as they were available. I noted a woman being helped at one desk and expected someone else to approach me. I spent about 20 minutes browsing the selections and at no time did anyone either approach me or acknowledge me.
About 10 minutes later I noticed one of the employees assisting a couple who had arrived well after I did. I finally sat down as I needed to sit after standing so long. Nobody approached me or acknowledged me. I finally left and nobody even noticed I left or apparently even cared.
My analysis of this business is that they have a great selection of glasses and they know it. It's almost as if they don't really care if they don't get your business because so many others will come to the store. If you're lucky and the timing is right maybe someone will help you. I can't really comment on the service once you actually connect with a rep. Good luck to everyone coming here 1st time, you'll need it.
Let me start off by saying that Dr. Truong is great. She is very detail oriented and knowledgeable
However, the billing department is beyond awful, and for that reason, I would not recommend others to come here. I was charged for my contact lens exam and fitting, but during my follow-up appointment, the employee who checked me out tried to double charge me. It was not until I ask, did he then verify that I did not have to pay.
Not only this, but my insurance was incorrectly billed $60 dollars even though I paid out of pocket for my exam. When I tried to purchase lenses from a third party, I was told that Optometric Options had placed a hold on my insurance so I would need to wait to be authorized.
I was waiting at the third party vendor and called Optometric Options to get the charges cleared. But after waiting over 30 minutes without a call back, I ended up calling them, only to be told that they were busy, would not be able to call my insurance at the moment, and were unable to give me a time frame of how long I could expect to wait at the third party vendor. It was only until I had my insurance call them directly, did they finally clear the charges. This in total took 2 weeks of back and forth phone calls and almost 2 hours of physical waiting. I want to caution others so that more people do not need to go through what I experienced
