Robertson Optometry

I went to Robertson Optometry for eye exam and glasses. The eye exam was quick and I was on my way within 1 hour including picking out a pair of glasses. The time to make the lenses was about two weeks and I was able to pick them up, try them on a split in about 10 minutes. The Optometrist on duty is really friendly and explained my prescription letting me know my eyesight wasn't as bad as I'd thought. I enjoyed my experience here so much that I ended up with 2 pair of glasses and even let them examine my son. They're a great place to get an exam and glasses if you like quick, friendly and thorough service. If not, then not :).

This is the third year l take my son Joey to his annual eye exam. Making an appointment was no trouble, I didn't have to wait a week to see the eye Doctor. The check- in process is fast and the waiting is minimum, the optometrist is knowledgable and took the time to explain and answer our questions in detail. When it was time to choose the frames the young man in the front desk was helpful and friendly. We felt heard and not rushed. We got what we needed and were out in reasonable time. We are happy with the attention to detail, professionalism; product selection to choose from (frames), and customer service. We highly recommend Robertson Optometrist.

Nice optometry. They took over Dr Kummer's practice, which used to be on Robertson near Pico, and then moved a little north on Robertson to just above Olympic. There is a parking lot behind the practice. They take insurance. They have fancy frames. I like the place.

I recently switched my eye care to this office and couldn't be happier. Dr. Yang was very knowledgeable and helpful during my appointment. Her entire office staff was friendly and patient, even going above and beyond to get contacts mailed to me as I was going to be doing some extended traveling. Her office manager also kindly explained the rebate process to save me money and time. I couldn't wait to recommend this place to my family and friends.

i was seen as a new patient and unfortunately will not be back. after reading patient reviews more carefully, and seeing the detailed and thoughtful responses from the practice, i'm convinced ester yang puts more time and thought into responding/defending herself against bad reviews than her actual patients + exams. 1. ester yang was very rushed during my eye exam. she spoke so fast that she'd have to pause to catch her breath. she spoke fast, but she wasn't even speaking about anything regarding her exam and findings. she spoke primarily to ask questions to plug and chug numbers into my prescription to get me out of there. i had to ask her about certain things for her to give any real care and thought to her exam 2. their clinic can perform retinal exams in two ways: a traditional exam that requires dilation or through a machine that takes a photo of your retina and does not require dilation. their patient intake forms make you choose one or the other, so i opted for the traditional exam and declined the machine. i do not like my photos being taken. they took my retinal photos anyway although i did not consent to it, and when i asked if i can see the photos, i was told it was $25. she let me see the photos as a courtesy but would not explain further, and that the photos were for her exam only. i explained that she collected my health information and i have a right to see it. she got defensive and continuously spoke over me instead of having a two-way conversation. she said i should be grateful that she provided a free service, but i did not consent to the service to begin with. i told her i will not be returning, so she ended her services early and refused to complete the traditional retinal exam. my eyes were dilated for no reason (especially since she uses the machine anyway). i heard her talk more to argue with me than to tell me about my eye health. but it's like i said, she puts more care in arguing and defending herself than she does to her exams + patients. attached are screenshots of the intake forms for reference.

I got an eye exam here a few years ago, and I'm only reviewing now because every time I drive past their location I'm left with distaste. They did my eye exam in such a rush that they gave me the wrong prescription and totally missed my astigmatism. The examiner was also in such a rush I recall not being able to ask her anything. I rely on my insurance to cover these costs so I had to wait 2 years for a corrected prescription. I would never go back or recommend this place to anyone. Much rather pay out of pocket than go here.

Robertson Optometry is great. I have been going to RO since it was owned by Dr. Kummer. Dr. Yang is great! I love Flexon frames and they special ordered some for me to try out. They also helped me pick out glasses that would be suitable for my high myopia/heavy prescription. I was just there today getting a backup pair for my regular glasses and a brand new pair of reading glasses.
