I've been coming to this optometrist office for years, and there was recently a change in ownership. Today was my first visit with the new doctor , Dr K Recker and I couldn't be happier overall. She is absolutely wonderful--very humble, extremely detailed, and truly hands-on. The new technology she has brought into the office is amazing and really shows how much she cares about providing quality patient care.
It was also really nice to see a familiar employee who worked with Dr. Marley still there. I appreciate that the new owner kept her on--it's comforting to see familiar faces. One of Dr K Reckers staff members was new to me; she was nice, though she could be a little more welcoming.!
That said, I don't regret returning at all. This was a great first experience under new ownership. The doctor is easy to talk to, very thorough, and genuinely cares about her patients. I highly recommend her. If you're looking for an optometrist you can trust, she's definitely the person to go to.
It was sad finding out that my eye doctor of 45 years had retired but the Dr. Recker and her staff still has that same attentive spirit that this office has always had.
Not your typical Optometrist. Dr. Marlay is always happy to answer all the questions you may have. He completes a very thorough exam and doesn't rush. He has exceptional knowledge and experience. Yes his office hours a less than normal so they don't answer one any given day. Ask for their current hours or leave a message. I never have an issue scheduling. Their selection is good and turn around is fast. You can always take your prescription and get glasses else where but I usually pick a pair there first and use rx for more pairs. My parents have been patients for over 15 years and my son and I use his services as well. I appreciate their patience and welcoming visits. Thank you Dr. Marlay!
Dr. Marlay has been my trusted optometrist since the 1980s. I moved to Ohio in 2023 and was just cleaning my glasses with his personalized soft lens cloth and felt compelled to post a review because it brought back positive memories! Superior work Dr. Marlay...and thank you so much!!
5+ Stars!!
Took my 7 year old and Dr. Marlay was extremely patient, and made sure that my son understood the whole process. He turned a very stressful situation into a learning and calming experience! 100% recommend for anyone that has fidgety children!
Dr. Marlay is a very good doctor! thorough, doesn't rush his examination, takes good care and explains everything! Also his receptionists are friendly! We've been going here for years now.
