As a first time patient
to Coastal Vision Medical Group
I was welcomed immediately.
Their professionalism melted away my anxiety quickly and,
after a "very thorough" two hour visit,
I left with near perfect vision!
The medical and administrative attention I received,
by several staff,
was impressive but their patience for me was key.
Contacts may be the way to go for now but
I can rely on Tyler to explain the process of ordering glasses and frames from their designer selections in the future.
Overall
Great experience. Thank you!

I've been a patient of Dr. Brame for 10 years and couldn't be happier with her, her front desk staff, the assistants who help in the examination rooms, Grace in the optometry department, you name it. It's a great feeling to know you are in good hands, and with Dr. Brame you most definitely are!
Outstanding experience during the entire examination from beginning to the end. No long waiting and clearly took all the needed tests. Dr Brame's office has been outstanding since we started to come here 20 years ago!!
I've been to a lot of medical offices over the years and this practice is one of the most professional and efficient practice. The two doctors that helped went above and beyond to solve my odd and difficult symptoms. I am so very grateful for their willingness to help me. Thank you.
This is a great practice my husband and I have both been using for many years. Doctors are professional and highly skilled. Staff is helpful, friendly and well trained. I think our eyes are well and responsibly cared for!
Professional, informative, friendly and efficient.. Dr. Brame is phenomenal. She is incredibly thorough. Staff and team make you feel welcome and cared for. I highly recommend Coastal Vision. I trust my vision to Dr Brame and her team.
Appointment with Dr. Brame was quick, thorough and very professional. Dr. Brame herself, and her whole team know what they're doing, explain the eye issues and procedures clearly, and treat us patients as real people. I am very satisfied.
In my opinion, I did not have a good experience with Dr. Brame and most of her office team yesterday. It took approximately one hour to actually see Dr. Brame as she had multiple incompetent people on her team do the majority of her work such as Dr. Markowitz, clearly a first year doctor, who did not listen to anything I said. He kept asking me the same question over and over, and then did NOT listen to anything I said. In fact, when Dr. Brame finally came in, Dr. Markowitz told her I was experiencing a 'severe' symptom which I had told him three times I was not, and that it was not of particular concern. I was there, first and foremost, for something else.
Dr. Brame did NOT ask me any questions so I felt compelled to tell her about my health and familial history and why I was primarily there to which she responded by talking about the same issue which Dr. Markowitz had told her!! Dr. Markowitz needs to learn how to "listen" and take notes. His lack of listening really set the tone for the rest of the visit.
When I first arrived, I was given approximately five pages to complete, which I did comprehensively, and returned to the front desk. At no point did Dr. Brame or Dr. Markowitz or even the medical assistant, Christine, even look at such forms for which I spent quite a bit of time completing. If they had actually read my forms, then perhaps, they would have known why I was there.
At the end of the session, I had to ask Dr. Brame to please provide me the results of her findings for what I actually was there for. She did but then proceeded to give me three options for, once again, the original symptom that Dr. Markowitz kept harping on, which was not even of particular concern at this visit.
During the brief time I met with Dr. Brame, I felt very rushed. Even before she had entered my room, I saw her walking very rapidly from one corner to another of the office. She should NOT schedule so many patients, if she cannot provide each with proper time and attention. It was like being on a conveyor belt in a manufacturing company!!
Dr. Brame is NOT warm and friendly, of course that is not needed to be a good doctor but it sure does make the patient feel comfortable. Additionally, as I was leaving, I said 'Merry Christmas' to Dr. Brame, to which she just kept walking.
I later called the Office Manager Gladys, who is an amazing part of their team. I explained everything that had occurred and she was very apologetic and told me that she will refund my office visit co-pay due to my negative experience. She listened to everything I described.
Approximately an hour later, Dr. Brame phoned me and lectured me in a very God-like complex fashion that she did everything she was supposed to do and accused me of being dissatisfied because I must have been 'having a bad day'. I guess treating the patient with decency is not a part of her job description.
In my opinion, Dr. Brame is very unprofessional, quite conceited, and non-patient focused.
