Dr Lowell R. Smith Optometrist

I've been seeing Dr. Lowell Smith since 1997, and now my husband and son do too. He's kind, knowledgeable, and his exams are always thorough with top-notch equipment. His staff is warm and professional -- we always feel well cared for. Highly recommend!

I have been seeing Dr. Smith for well over 20 years. I've moved several times during that 20years and continued to make appointments with him. He has always been wonderful at explaining every procedure and tests. His technicians have been warm and inviting through the years. So very helpful in my decision making. His office has a great selection of eyeglasses. Unfortunately, it has become increasingly difficult to work in an appointment bec of my schedule, and the distance from home, so I will be changing doctors. Thank you so much for taking care of me and my son. You've been a great doctor for us.

Dr Lowell is amazing!! Now his staff is a different story. They are very disorganized. The older lady added a charge to my glasses order after I was told I had paid for them in full with a receipt. Plus she never ordered the contact lenses. Now we have to wait another week. I don't think the doctor knows what is going on. I also, have experienced them never ordering contact lenses when paid in full. Again The eye doctor is amazing. But, the staff could be better.

I had such a great experience with Dr. Smith. His front staff were very professional and courteous. He took the time to do a very thorough eye exam. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to answer questions. I would highly recommend him. Thanks so much Dr. Smith and to his staff.

I decided to try this establishment based on the reviews online and for being a local business in my city. I had a nice experience with the check up and staff. The optometrist/doctor was great, he was thorough with his exam, friendly and. answered all my questions. I was pleasantly surprised about the great and personal patient care I received. For once I did not feel rushed out from a medical appointment. The office staff were also professional and very nice to work with. I'm glad I decided to get my eye exam and glasses here instead of a big box and was able to meet a great business in Norwalk.

I have been a patient of Dr. Smith since the beginning. What can I say except he is a phenomenal optometrist incredibly knowledgeable with the ins and outs of the optic field and has a very compassionate personality. Dr. Smith and his staff will work with you if you are struggling financially or having insurance issues, they just want you satisfied with their services which i definitely am as always.

I've worn glasses all my life. Up until I started seeing Dr. Smith, I bounced around from different optometrists. I have now been with Dr. Smith for over 15 years. I am constantly referring friends and family to his office. His selection of frames are always current and comparably priced. Very affordable and I appreciate that, since I wear my glasses everyday and buy them annually! But more importantly Dr. Smith takes the time to get to know you, review your previous visits, makes sure you are up to date on all the current testing and gives you a thorough exam. I cannot recommend him enough. One of a kind.

I am writing this review as a previous employee of his (many yrs ago) & a continuing patient. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Smith as a person & as a professional & I am beyond happy with the new staff changes done within the last few months. I drive several miles to see him because as a Dr. he is patient, caring, & he gives thorough exams. He inadvertently saved my mom's life by catching a problem in her eyes during an exam. Please give a visit, you will not regret it. He is amazing!!
