I've been a patient for many, many years. I still look forward to my annual visits/exams. The staff and doctors are welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I like that the staff gives me input when asked in deciding which glasses to order.

I had a very good experience at Norwalk Family Optometry. The doctor is excellent, very knowledgeable, explains test results clearly, and answers all your questions. Staff are friendly, helpful, and very professional. I highly recommend it.
Dr. Chris Tran was excellent, I like how he took the time to explain everything from what was on the computer monitor, to all the details of my eyes and prescription. He was very thorough and professional.
The front desk gals were great as well. Very detailed and answered all my questions. They were very courteous and professional.
I like that everything was very modern, digitized, and I a received a printed prescription immediately.
The only problem that I had, was the young woman who took me to the back to do the pre-exams on my eyes was not approachable, very stoic, was not able to give me good direction as to which way to turn and look when asked to use the different machines for the exams. Her sense of instruction was very unclear, and I had to keep asking her to give me better direction. For example, she would say, "turn around over here," but over here had no exact explanation. And when I turned towards her, she would correct me and tell me that I turned the wrong way, and instead I should turn the other way; I was very confused. When on the machine where I had to rest my chin, she did not give me clear instruction either as to how the machine would work, if it would go up and down, and I had to ask her that I was actually hunched over forward to put my chin on it. I could see she was getting frustrated, but if I'm not getting clear instruction, I can't do as I'm told!
I could see that she was not happy with me asking questions. That made me feel frustrated.
All in all, the experience was great except for the pre-exams with the young woman. I don't remember her name, she was dressed all in black, long shoulder length, dark hair, and black rimmed glasses. I would say she was in her mid twenties.... I wish I had her name, but I know she was the youngest of the office!

My mother can't understand English so I was there to translate and help. But all staffs were super friendly and patience while I translate. Specially the doctor, she made us super comfortable. My mother and I had great experience overall.
