I have never been so impressed with this eye practice, from Dr. Shaharari to all her office personnel. Dr. Shaharari was exceptional finding what was best for correcting my eyesight. I had my contacts updated and I see so much better and the fitting is very comfortable. All of the staff here are exceptional. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Shaharari and her staff.

I started seeing Dr. Shahriari at Modern iCare in July 2025 for an eye issue that turned out to be an immune response. She was able to quickly identify the problem and prescribe the right treatment, which gave me relief right away. On my follow-up visits, we also addressed other concerns like dry eyes, and she recommended a novel treatment I had never heard of--something most other practitioners wouldn't even think to suggest. Dr. Shahriari is by far the most thorough optometrist I have ever been to. My routine eye exam was incredibly comprehensive, including detailed vision testing (even though I've had LASIK) and advanced retinal scanning. On top of that, she takes the time to explain everything so clearly, from risk factors to the underlying pathophysiology, which really helped me understand what was going on with my eyes. Her knowledge, attention to detail, and patient-centered approach are unmatched. The rest of the staff at Modern iCare are wonderful too--so kind, helpful, and truly work together as a team to make every visit smooth and welcoming. 5/5 stars would recommend Dr. Shahriari and Modern iCare to anyone in need of eye care--Palm Desert is lucky to have them! -Paul

This is the best optometrist and glass store that I have ever visited. The eye exam was thorough and Dr. Shahriari took her time. I have double vision and am near and far sighted. She addressed all of these issues. All of the supporting staff were friendly, polite, with an attention to detail. They were very thorough and knowledge with the fitting of glasses, types of lens, frames, etc.

Dr. Shahriari and her staff are wonderful. They are kind and caring. Dr. Tokuhara certainly knows other wonderful Drs in California. He is the one who set me up with Dr. Shahriari. I wear a special contact made in England to help keep light out of my iris. It seems like a matter of fact but not with Dr Shahriari and her staff. What a fabulous group of people. One more California, Desert Vision listener, thinker, communicator that really cares about people. Even people with difficult problems!!

I really cannot sing the praises loud enough of this business as a whole. Everything from scheduling an appointment to the eye appointment to the ordering of my contact lenses has been beyond seamless. It's even been, dare I say.. enjoyable! Every single staff member that I have spoken to has been so kind, so personable and so helpful. They have answered the phone every single time I have called with the most friendly voice on the other line. Each staff member really appears to enjoy working there and that speaks volumes of a business! Dr. Shahriari is amazing. She takes her time with you and gets to know you, your history and your lifestyle so that she can find the best possible solution for your personal needs. That is so rare to find these days in the medical field, it's always an in-and-out, one size fits all experience. Here, I felt more than just a number, I felt like every single person there cared. Everyone took the time to remember my name, remember my situation and remember my needs. I am one that is resistant to going to appointments but this will be one that I actually look forward to. That you Modern iCare Optometry team, keep on doing what you're doing.

We had a fantastic experience with Dr Shahriari. My mom and I both had the most thorough eye examinations we have ever had. She was kind, knowledgeable, patient and made sure that her explanations of our problems were clearly understood. The office was clean and very modern. The staff was friendly and our overall experience from beginning to end was fantastic! Highly recommended. Will definitely refer all of our friends and family to Modern iCare!
