Eye Laser Center

I got laser a year ago and absolutely would do it again (but hopefully will never need to!) Dr. Manche was excellent - professional and skilled and very kind and will answer any concerns or questions you have and give honest recommendations. I felt like there was no one I trusted with my vision more than Dr. Manche, and my laser outcome was fabulous. Minimal side effects during the recovery period, and now I'm better than 20/20 with zero side effects! The staff all are very kind as well, and good at what they do. Nothing bad to say at all.

I had a great experience with Dr. Manche, freeing me from having to wear glasses. He evaluated me carefully and found my corneas couldn't get Lasik safely but could do an alternative called PRK. He shared a research article showing Lasik and PRK work equally well that he actually published; he's truly an expert on eye surgery. He was also professional and friendly and I've recommend him to multiple friends.

I just got Lasik done. Dr. Manche and his staff are world class! Everything was painless and pleasant: the consultation, pre-op, surgery, and post-op. I could not recommend him enough--it will change your life!

I got LASIK a couple weeks ago at the Stanford Eye Laser Center. I cannot relate to the recent negative NYTimes article on eye surgery called "Blurred Vision, Burning Eyes: This Is a Lasik Success?" at all which is why I felt compelled to write my review. The surgery itself, despite being somewhat scary since you have to be conscious the whole time, only led to about three hours of pain which occurred right after and I felt like my eyes were on fire (I exaggerate - it's a burning sensation). To be fair, I could have gotten stronger anesthesia but I didn't have anyone to bring me home so I had to opt out for (legal?) reasons. Uber works great though if you're okay with some stranger seeing you suffer silently for a little bit - haha. After the first day post-op, I was just sensitive to light for a while but now I see great and have nothing to complain about. Folks, if you're concerned about getting the surgery - just make sure to do your research first so you get the best possible care. Admittedly, the Stanford Eye Laser Center is pricey - it cost about $6K for the surgery but these are my damn eyes! If you call a clinic and they keep trying to reach you after, they're not high quality. A great clinic has people clamoring to set up an appointment and does not need a marketing strategy. For the picture - left is from May 25th, 2012 (I've been wearing glasses since I was 6) and right is from May 25th, 2018. Google Photos automatically created this collage which I thought was fitting. For context, I had my surgery on May 15th so that was 10 days after and I was feeling GREAT and so grateful for my new 20/20 perfect vision.

I did PRK here and it went great : D it feels good to wear glasses anymore haha

Was blind and now I can see and soon I won't be wearing glasses. I had detached retinas. Great friendly staff
