Northridge Eye Care

I have been a patient at Northridge Eye Center for many years. 2023 I had the cataract or my left eye removed and replaced with a light adjustable lens. Today I had the right eye cataract removed and replaced with a light adjustable lens. Dr. Haugen, Stacy Cullen and all of the Northridge Eye Center staff an excellent. I always feel I am getting the best care possible. The facility is clean and well managed. The process of both of my procedures ran very smoothly.

Wonderful people. Excellent care. The difference between my prior vision and now the brightness of colors is like day and night. Thank you Dr Haugen and his wonderful team.

I am fairly new to Red Bluff and I recently had my eyes examined and refracted by Dr Barriga. I found her to be personable, professional and extremely thorough. Everyone in the office was friendly and efficient and my new prescription is perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Northridge Eye care to anyone .

"As someone with a rare eye condition (microphthalmia), I require ongoing specialized care--urgently at times--and I've never felt more dismissed and unsupported than I do with Northridge Eye Care. Since Dr. Alexander retired, the quality of care has absolutely plummeted. The front office staff consistently block access to the one doctor I trust, who does understand my condition and is willing to help when I need it. But she's unreachable because of the gatekeeping and untrained staff who seem more focused on rigid policies and office flow than patient health. This is not a one-time issue. It's a consistent, ongoing problem. I have repeatedly experienced being shuffled aside, ignored, or delayed. It used to feel safe here. Dr. Alexander made accommodations without hesitation--because he understood what was at stake. He understood that when your vision is your livelihood, delays in care can mean disaster. If I can't see, I can't work. If I can't work, I can't survive. That's the reality for me, and for others with serious eye conditions. This isn't just frustrating--it's frightening. Medical ethics and disability laws recognize that some patients' needs are urgent and require priority care. Just like a diabetic needs timely insulin to survive, patients with vision impairments need timely access to care to avoid permanent harm. Treating all patients exactly the same without regard to urgency is not just unfair--it can be dangerous. Patients like me deserve better. We're not interchangeable. We're not "just another appointment." This is about our ability to function, to live, to see. And I'm tired of being treated like that doesn't matter."

Northridge eye care is simply the best ophthamologist I have ever been to! The staff is amazing and the docs know what they are doing and take time with you to make sure it is done right. After care is top notch as well. This should be your eye doctor if you live anywhere near them, it is worth the drive.

I've been going here for almost 3 years not. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Stacy Cullum! She's been helping me and my husband's family for years. So very considerate, really listens to your cares and concerns, and if you are unable to fulfill certain tests due to past trama, she works around them. AMAZING! Unfortunately Stacy has been out of office for a while, and we were so appreciative of our appointments being rebooked with Dr. Haugen. I was so very disappointed to find out he disrespected and made fun of my family member for having past trama that required extra help, that Stacy never ever made a big deal about. His assistant was also heard feet away from said family member complaining about why this person couldn't just do the tests. With how absolutely amazing Stacy is, you'd hope that another Dr and assistant in the same exact practice would have a similar outlook on patients who have gone through VERY difficult things in their past, and been able to offer the same care. Unfortunately that was far from the truth. I truly hope Dr. Cullum is doing well, but if for any reason she is unable to come back, I will be moving to another optometrist office. EDIT: An HR representative got in contact with me the original day I wrote this review and cleared up everything. She was so very lovely to talk to and apologized for this situation, and even asked permission to apologize to my family member who was affected. The time she spent talking not only to me but my family member is very very much appreciated!
