Dr Bowen has been amazing with my son. From surgery to all the aftercare and beyond. Everyone in the office is super nice and very accommodating. We highly recommend Dr Bowen.

All of Dr. Bowen's staff is top tier. They go out of their way to help out. Dr. Bowen genuinely cares and listens. He explains things in terms that are easily understandable. I highly recommend this team!!

Honest down to earth is my best description of Dr Bowen. He preformed eye surgery on my granddaughter right at the start of the pandemic. He was able to assure me we were in a good place. His personality is quite calming as well as able to exude confidence.

Dr. Bowen dispenses great medicine! Being the parent of a 31 yr old of a child who has tremendous challenges I have been fortunate to meet great physicians. Dr. Bowen stands with those excellent doctors. His office is not fancy and i didn't see a white coat anywhere. However the compassion and care are immediately evident upon entering. I came to Dr. Bowen because of a suspected detached retina caused by a chunk of wood hitting my left eye. Upon examination Dr. Bowen told and showed me the retina. Although he was very nice in the way he gave me the news, he did not sugar coat it, which, I told him I appreciated. Dr. Bowen referred me to retinal associates in Chico where Dr. Medina was able to repair it. My followup exam with Dr. Bowen was very detailed. In fact it was.more comprehensive then any I've had and I have extreme nearsightedness and have seen ophthalmologists all my.life. The most important thing I guess is I trust Dr Bowen. I hope to be his patient for many years. Here is an update. I took my son who has cerebral palsy and significant problems one of which is eyesight. Although he was seen regularly in the past, because he is non verbal examination can be iffy. However Dr Bowen like my son's first ophthalmologist was able to get him to cooperate. Dr Bowen's patience and skill gave us a good idea of what Jason sees. He has great patience and does very well with children. The staff also are extraordinary.

The office is clean and quiet. Toys and books to keep the kids entertained while you wait. The receptionist is friendly, efficient, and welcoming. The doctors and his assistants are great with the kids. My busy three year old sat through an exam for over an hour because of the doctors demeanor with him. Found out my son was blind in one eye. Worked out a treatment plan and my son is regaining his vision. Best experience! I would recommend this office to anyone.

Dr. Bowen and his team are great. They were able to get my baby in quickly & were able to provide me with the information needed.

I like Dr Bowen. Explains in language I can understand. Takes great pains in checking the health of your eyes. His assistant is excellent. Overall knowledgeable Dr. I'd refer him. His credentials are impeccable.
