Pediatric Eye Care

Dr. de Castro at Pediatric Eye Care saw my daughter today and we had a really positive experience. What stood out most was how he took the time to speak directly with her and make her feel involved in the visit. He was patient, thoughtful, and addressed her concerns about how her Type 1 diabetes relates to her eye health. The appointment was thorough and detailed. The facility was cheerful and all of the staff were warm and welcoming. We're grateful for the excellent care we received and would definitely recommend Dr. de Castro to other families.

My son has been coming to this office since we moved to the South Bay in 2022. Dr. de Castro is very quick with the exams and I have learned to ask questions to understand what he is observing during the visit. The only negative is that his office does not accept Medi-Cal so we are cash patient.

Dr De Castro was so warm and kind with my 3 year old. He made her feel comfortable during the visit. The exam involved two parts, and my daughter was actually super excited to run back into the exam room for the second part of her exam. I highly recommend Dr De Castro and his wonderful team.

The office is very child-friendly. There's a TV that plays Disney movies, plenty of books, including ones about wearing glasses, and toys for both little kids and big kids! The staff are very nice, and I appreciate the reminders via text. We first met Dr. De Castro last May. He is very knowledgeable, firm, and patient. He identified what was in my son's eye and prescribed the right medication and care. My son Brayden is autistic, and the first visit was really hard for him because he was so anxious. Dr. De Castro made sure he was comfortable and reassured him that it wouldn't hurt. After weeks of back-and-forth visits to his regular eye doctor, we're glad we went to Dr. De Castro!

Dr. Alex and his team mad my kid feel right at home from the first moment we walked in the door when the waiting room felt like a kids play place. We got in quick and Doc has incredible skills in diagnosing efficiently and effectively. We were "wow'd" by the operation. We had an urgent concern and they ushered us right in today with 60 minutes calling we were in the practice with the Doc wowwwwww

Dr. De Castro conducted a very thorough adult exam for me. Excellent customer service by the front desk and the optometrist as well. Definitely would recommend to other adults.

This was our first visit for my 5year old. Doctor De Castro was recommended by our pediatrician and it was an absolute pleasure taking my daughter to see him. A very professional, thorough and experienced doctor. The staff is beyond friendly and organized. We are out the door and I am already sending other friends who need to see an ophthalmologist for their kids. I highly recommend him to any parents with kids who have any eye concerns.

In having a son in the Autism Spectrum, I'm always worried about finding a good doctor. I look for someone who will be understanding, patient and thorough. My experience today with Dr. Alexander De Castro was absolutely incredible. He was excellent with my 13-year-old son. Kind, gentle, patient, understanding are only a few ways to describe Dr. De Castro. The visit was quick and productive. His entire staff was amazing. Thank you everyone for a wonderful experience!
